Franco Gianni's Restaurant & Pizza — Restaurant in Trumbull

I live literally seconds away from Francos. Their large cheese pie has always been a go-to staple on Friday nights.........Last nite (Friday) We tried a little something different. A Large Brother John Works and a 16" Scillian. The sausage on the Brother John Works was OLD !!! You can always tell when sausage is old because it has unpleasant taste and aftertaste that ruined the flavor on the rest of the pie. The scillian was just a big doey piece of crust.....no sauce, very little cheese, and just plain NOT GOOD!!!!.....And NOT CHEAP Either!!! With ALL the Pizza restaurants in the area, I think I am going to give Francos a pass on my next pizza...

I decided to try them out for the first time last night and I was not impressed by the service or the food, which was really disappointing after reading all the good reviews. I don't typically post bad reviews either, but this was so bad that I won't be returning. My advice? Spend your money elsewhere. This place may be good for takeout like pizzas or calzones (I'll never know since I won't be giving them any more of my money), but when it came to the appetizer and dinners that we ordered, they completely missed the mark. I work for the Football Team at the University of New Haven. We recently made two large orders that were very well done. It was completed for us in a timely and organized manner while also accommodating any requests or changes we needed to make throughout the week up until the day we arrived at our hotel. The staff was also very helpful upon our arrival to pick up our order. Our staff and players enjoyed the meals that Gianni's had provided us with and we would gladly order from them again...
