While I have not sat down for a meal at this establishment, I have had the misfortune of the takeout experience from hell. I’m from out of town and I was staying with family and I wanted to bring dinner as a favor. Ordering food from a restaurant should be simple enough right? Wrong. I called ahead so that my meal would be ready by the time I got there, and was told my food would be ready in 30 minutes, which should’ve been perfect. Yet as I got there my food wasn’t ready, and I ended up waiting an extra 35 minutes in their lobby as their manager continuously told me it would be out shortly. In what world does two cheese pizzas take over an hour to prepare? The manager then proceeded to chew out both the staff and teenaged cashiers over some mishap going on in the back, which frankly was quite unprofessional, and seemed to be some sort of power trip on her part. My interaction with her was less than pleasant and she seemed to forget about my order time and time again as I asked about the status of my pizzas, as I could see two cheese pizzas ready, and I was waiting, but she told me it would yet again, ready shortly. When I finally got my food, she was not even apologetic about this wait, and told me I should’ve called ahead, which I did. Someone with such a bad attitude should not be interacting with customers, let alone running a “restaurant”. Food was okay, nothing to write home about. We have better...
Read moreToday I came in to pick up a family meal. When I arrived I was given a single meal of chicken Marsala instead. When I let the receptionist know I ordered a family meal she asked for a moment and got the manager. Kathy came and I explained that I ordered a family meal. In a very condescending way she said “I took your order and I specifically asked you if you wanted a chicken Marsala individual” when I attempted to explain that I asked about a family meal she, again, very rudely said “I’ll make it again but you didn’t order the family meal”. Reflecting on this interaction for a few minutes as my new order was being made I asked the woman at the front if I could speak with the manager again. Kathy came over and I explained that I am a manager of an organization as well and I could never fathom speaking to a customer in the way she spoke to me. She insisted that I ordered incorrectly and then told me “all the calls are recorded, I’ll gladly go back and listen” to which I told her I wish she would. Then I began explaining the conversation I had on the phone when I ordered asking if the family meal came with rice. At this point, Kathy realized she had spoken to a different person (named Laurie) not me and my order was actually ready to be given to me. She apolgozed in a very disigenuine way. I shared that we typically come to Old Towne 2x/week and we will...
Read moreI love Old Towne Restaurant for their awesome food! This is definitely my go-to place for catering when I need help for parties. Their salmon piccata is a favorite! Their food is always fresh & delicious. I can count on my guests lovin' it. I also enjoy going there with family/friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner with their great varied menu. Some favorites include their awesome pizza, gyro/souvlaki sandwiches, burgers, salads, apple cobbler with ice cream, omlettes, breakfast/brunch foods like eggs benedict, French toast, breakfast sausages are so yummy. Plus, their staff like server Luisa, kitchen staff/catering order taker Alex, managers like Kathy are so accommodating. One of the owners Dean even delivered some catering food to my home when I was in a pinch. They are the nicest group of folks you could meet and you can tell they take lots of pride in working hard to make customers happy. Restaurant has nice comfortable casual appeal and décor, booths and tables, clean and a happy vibe.
