Carnitas & Birria El Tarasco — Restaurant in Tucson

They lowered the price a bit, hopefully this will entice more people! I've been back a few times, just try it once. If you're disappointed idk what to tell you. I got the Birria Platter... worth the current price 100%!!! I think it was $15 now 13, again worth every penny these days either way. I got it togo so they included all the things, I must say packaged very well!!! I have several stains in my seats from transporting similar items in subpar bags packed not so well, this was secure and made it home safely... big ol cup of broth with Birria at the bottom not a drop spilled! The hot oil & lime take it to another place, & their thin red salsa is amazing as well. I drive past this place every day on my way to work, if only they were open later... but with the area I get it. I'm gonna have to make this a regular stop. I've had birria quite a few places in town, maybe someone knows of better (not at a families home)...

First off the customer services is great and that's always a plus for me and the prices are reasonable. I tried their food yesterday and it was fantastic , it's the closest thing to what I get when I go to Mexico. Even afterwards when i drank the caldo and it had me feeling satisfied for hours. Soooo delicious you MUST TRY.. Definitely sending my husband over this morning for some more birria ❤️🤤🤤🤤

This restaurant is the best! Carnitas (pork, carne de cerdo) is the best in Tucson. Highly recommend getting the half pound of carnitas. Hand made tortillas, made in front of you. Staff working there is very polite and friendly. Free huge side bar with to-go containers, and the sauces are amazing. Best in Tucson, if you're looking for great food, great service, this is the place to go.
