The Furniture Exchange — Local services in Tucson

Decent place to come shop for furniture. I came in looking for some furniture and was initially approached by one of the owner’s sons. Great guy and very professional. He then handed me off to his father (the owner) who led me into the store.

Pros: The staff is very knowledgeable on their products. The atmosphere is nice and there is a lot of furniture to choose from. The free same day delivery is amazing. Almost everything there is made in the U.S so I’m sure everything is high quality. I’d highly recommend it you’re moving to the area to start your search here.

Cons: I would suggest giving customers a little more space to browse the inventory at their own pace. There’s a lot to see so try to be mindful of social queues and body language when people need space. Also try not to press financing/leasing so much. Try to wait until the customer is prepared to make a decision on whether to buy or not before mentioning anything about financing. Speaking of financing/leasing, it isn’t the best. I’m sure that’s the nature of the business but for the ones who are unfamiliar, now you know. Lastly, I personally I felt the prices were a little high but then again I haven’t been shopping for furniture in quite sometime.

Overall still a great place to shop for your furniture. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was because the salesmanship was a little intense for my liking and there wasn’t a lot to choose of shopping on a budget. All things considered, I think I’ll be back to purchase my furniture here.

Update: I feel the need to update my review. Since my first visit a few months ago I have been to almost every other furniture store in Tucson and I can honestly see why their prices trend a little higher than others; their products is genuinely better. I’m sure they could order cheaper furniture and sell more volume but they don’t. They stick to selling a better product. I have since passed through the store a few times with the most recent visit being this weekend with my ol lady to buy some furniture. I noticed that they take heed to constructive criticism and used it to better their business. The salesmanship wasn’t as intense and we received more clarification on the terms of the financing. I loved my couch when I bought it but in for months all the cushions started coming apart at the seams. When I contacted management it took him 3 months of me bugging him to have the cushions replaced (the couch was about 1400 including tax and I still owe 1100) he said it was going to take time but wasn't able to tell me how much time so they offered a credit to get a new couch. Then he text me they sent a credit of 1000 dollars, but I'm financing 1400??!!....he showed me the few couches via text of a few sets they had for around that price. Non come close to what I have. I'm so disappointed cause I actually really liked my couch. I even asked can they give the 100 back to the finance company and ill pay the difference and they can have the couch back so I can go buy one elsewhere he said thats not an option. I wouldn't buy from this store and I will be contacting the bbb about this. I'll try and post pics. This is happening to all the cushions after only 4 months...

I'll let the bbb know that's fine. You never offered to pay the difference you just said there was a credit of 1000 and never offered to look through one of your books for a new couch but even if so people like to sit on couches to see if they are comfortable. You told me that's all you had in stock for that price and im not gonna drive almost an hour to see the same things you showed me. You said to come in and if you like something more expensive you can finance additional (well thats obvious, thanks).You got your money through the finance company already so I'm paying them back so makes no sense for you to say you're making no money off the payments cause you already got your money.
