Ordered the carnitas quesadilla in the drive thru. It was 14 dollars which seemed a bit high. It said it came "with" sour cream guacamole salsa and lettuce. Apparently the way they do it here is they stuff all of those ingredients inside the quesadilla making it this giant sort of soggy mess. I checked again to make sure i wasnt in error then came inside to see if this couldnt be out to rights. I took the food up and asked the gentleman behind the counter if he could possibly make me a quesadilla with the condiments on top of the quesadilla as was my desire. The scalawag fixed me with a glare. A glare, that would put a penguin to flight! No he said "that's the way we do it it says so on the menu" and when I pointed out that it didn't say so on the menu he just gave me that dead panned look basically communicating "your SOL my friend" and said nothing. I left the first quesadilla with him and left .considering there's better quesadillas to be had at Paco's less than a mile up the road for less than half that price I don't see any reason to ever return here the employees are loafers and rapscallions. Being in the food service industry myself I can scarcely afford to throw $14 down the drain and leave with nothing. So I can't see myself ever returning to this establishment. The food is odd ,terribly expensive but seeing as how I do a job similar to his, the rudeness is what I can't really excuse maybe standards are just completely different at the restaurant of my employ but manners and courtesy as my mother used to say, cost...
Read moreThis place has some seriously great food. The carne asada burritos available here are second to none anywhere in Tucson. The food for the price simply can't be beat by anyone anywhere.
My job sells a carne asada burrito that I can get for free, but I'll still come here and pay $15 for the number 14 just because it's so much better.
They appeared to have recently remodeled the interior slightly. They have TVs displaying a digital menu board, which is a big upgrade from the previous menus that were taped over, written over, and generally worn out. I'm not sure when this happened, because I rarely go inside. The only downside to this location is the location. It's not a great location and there are people I would rather avoid constantly nearby. I almost never feel safe going inside. I go through the drive through virtually 100% of the time. That said, every time I have gone inside, nothing has happened. It could easily just be a me thing.
The plus side of going in is the chip and salsa bar, which is pretty good. I particularly enjoy the thick sliced cucumbers which I'll eat while I'm waiting for my food.
All in all I really, I really enjoy this place and I visit often. I highly recommend you...
Read moreFound out that I was charged for a tip I never put in. This would explain a lot of the other reviews regarding inaccurate pricing. I had a tip put in and once I confronted the employee, he tried to blame me for tapping something myself. They are taking tips from everyone’s orders throughout the day. I am reporting this to Filiberto’s corporate and whatever is the appropriate government agency. Please cross check your receipt with what was charged in your bank account. They did not give me the receipt that shows the tip.
This is the most unethical business behavior I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. This is stealing. Straight up stealing. How terrible are you to take people’s money out of their pockets? Also, the entire kitchen is complicit. When I went to return my meal as it was incorrect and I no longer trust them to make my food, they were all giving me looks as if I did something wrong. Completely pathetic. Support a different Mexican restaurant in the area. I will ensure that action is taken against this location for this completely...
