Like the food. Don't like how the servers throw the dishes into the dirty dish bins.... very loud and the noise travels in this place. the servers can be a level more polite to the seniors and veterans. the one that I had was absolutely rude and smug. I probably will not go back after a half dozen visits. This place is like putting a bandage on a greasy spoon. AFTER RECIEVING A RESPONCE: I am changing this reviews because apparantly the owner sent me a BS responce after speaking with the rude waitress and now I feel totally dismissed and disrespected by these people.. My experience in this place also includes having to send back the food that was not properly prepared after letting them know how I like it done. I also mentioned to them about how noisey it was when the servers would through the plates ect into the to be cleaned bin and tried to let them know that some of us veterans were somewhat sensitive to this loud unneccesary banging as the dishes were thrown into the bins. It made me jump and this is no joke..I simply expressed my concerns about this and once again I was dismissed because when I went back there nothing changed. this thing with the waitress....well... I feel not heard and dismissed and this waitress was rude and condescending to me. It just is an example of LOW LIFE attitude as far as I am concerned and I am not interested in having to write something like this but I am because I feel the need to self advocate. the next thing I am going to do is to go onto the VA National veteran connection bulletin board which is something that is posted state wide and let all the other veterans know about what my experience was at Joes Pancake House and include this review and the answer from the owner and my follow up and let the veterans decide for themselves about this incident. I am no longer a customer of Joes Pancake House and I am certain that they are not loosing any sleep over this. A GREASEY SPOON with the...
Read moreYesterday I wasn't feeling well, which is why I ordered food. It wasn't to expectations, and while not feeling well I gave an unduly bad review. Putting it mildly, I was a complete A-HOOOOOOLE.
The review was (non A-HOOOOOOLE version). I ordered a full stack of lemon ice & banana nut pancakes. Both tasted the same. The order was split between 2 people, and we both had 1 of each. We both thought they tasted the same, so we had 2 other people try them and the same opinion.
The owner responded to this and said they would check the batters to ensure the future satisfaction of customers. I'm happy that Joe's looks into reviews, even from people being complete a-holes. The vast majority of establishments ignore any bad reviews, even if it's polite. So Joe's definitely cares about quality.
A couple of menu suggestions.
Joe's Big Breakfast: 1 full stack sized pancake, 2 eggs, breakfast meat option, and potato option.
Joe's Mega Breakfast: 2 full stack sized pancakes, 2 eggs, breakfast meat option, and potato option.
Joe's Monster Breakfast: 3 full stack sized pancakes, 2 eggs, breakfast meat option, and potato option.
I know these are similar to the 2 & 3 eggs, but comes with meat factored in. Also, I don't know if the pancakes under the bread option are the regular size or the behemoth size.
Muffin Mix Pancakes: Instead of using pancake batter, use muffin mix batter. I've made these for years and people love them. But I've never seen them at an...
Read moreI honestly want to give 5 stars. Sadly the fact I’m still hungry is why I am only giving 4 stars. I’m not sure how the food is from here normally. As this was my first time trying this restaurant. I was highly impressed with how the food was packaged. The gravy was in a small cup filled about 3/4 of the way to the top. The two biscuits and the two sausage patty's each had their own box. All the food was good quality. Almost home made like yummyness. It would have been perfect if it had maybe two full small cups of gravy. Sadly the one not even full cup of gravy wasn’t even enough for one of the biscuits. Seriously it had about 4 bites with a good amount of gravy. Basically only half of one of the biscuits was delicious. After that it was super dry and honestly not good. I almost as not good as the sausage was good lol. But it left me hungry and I was about to give this place two stars just because the lack of gravy made my biscuits so dry I couldn’t eat half my breakfast. But I thankful also order the chocolate peanut butter cake. I gotta say that cake is absolutely incredibly amazing delicious! It’s probably the best cake I have had in a long time. Actually probably one of the best cakes I have ever had! I wasn’t going to order from here again. But after trying that cake! I definitely need...
