Silver Room — Restaurant in Tucson

The Silver Room delivered! This is a classic locals dive bar with a great atmosphere and friendly vibe. Don’t forget to shut the door behind you on your way in. We’re way too used to doors just closing for us automatically. I got the classic, “We’re you born in a barn!?” remark for my way in and it felt good🤣 Bartender was lovely. Seasoned gal who was quick with a cold beer and invited me to indulge in the Cheeseburger bar that was set up between the Dart machines and the tabletop arcade game. A ziplock bag of individually wrapped American cheese slices, ketchup, mustard, and relish rounded out the condiment selection. And that’s all I needed. Fresh sesame seed buns and a home style crockpot of burgers was a welcome treat. I gobbled it down on a paper plate like I was at a picnic back home in Ohio😁 If you’re looking for windows, this is not your spot. Wooden walls make it feel more like a wilderness lodge and there were plenty of things to do. Pool tables, darts, arcade, pinball, and Jenga. The vibe was super friendly. Got a handshake from one of the regulars who was quick to recognize my freshman visit. They had all the NFL games I was looking for and a bunch of comfortable viewing areas make it perfect for watching your team. I wish I lived closer to this gem. But I will be back for sure!! This place was pretty depressing. We went in on a saturday night and the only people in the entire place besides us were a bartender and two people sitting on stools in the very corner watching a U of A basketball game on a muted TV. The pool tables were totally jacked up, and missing a number of balls. The jukebox skips songs. Excellent little hidden gem of Tucson!! Packed away in a little bit of an industrial area, this bar has a great atmosphere and decent prices! Great selection of whiskey and beer. The bartender(s) are very friendly and know what they are doing when it comes to pouring a great drink!!
