This place has it all. Which is usually not a good thing. Big menus often mean quality suffers. Even more so when the menu has many different cuisines to choose from.
I ordered quite a bit so that I could try a bit of everything. I was pleasantly impressed with almost everything we tried.
The General Tso's is some of the best tasting I've had from most takeouts, and while it wasn't crispy on the outside, it wasn't complete mush. I won't hold that against them since I ordered it takeout. Solid flavor and great sauce though. 7/10
The Kung Pao chicken had great flavor and quality, too. 8/10
The bourbon chicken was alright. It wasn't the mall food court bourbon chicken we all remember from our childhood and crave (or maybe that's just me), but it was better than most imitators' around town. Good flavor just not what I'm looking for in bourbon. 6/10
Yellow curry was a huge star. I was super surprised at how amazing this was coming from a place that is predominantly American Chinese food. It had this unctuous deliciousness that is hard to describe with perfect curry flavor.
The hot and sour soup was not the best I've had, but probably the second best I've had. And I try every hot and sour soup I come across. It was so good that I'm sitting here absolutely stuffed and still considering getting it out the fridge and finishing it now š¤£š
Egg rolls - good flavor, but smaller and not super crisp. Again, could've been due to travel 4/10
Beef cho cho - ok flavor, pretty dry 2/10
Cheese wontons - large and they did not skimp on the cream cheese filling!! Also had crab stick mixed in. Great flavor and not greasy/heavy 9/10
Lo mein - average, nothing special here 5/10
I don't have pictures because I didn't think about it and wasn't expecting to like it so much. So there.
Go try this place so they can stay open and I...

Asian Star has three restaurants operating in Oklahoma: Wagoner, Pryor, and Tulsa. The one Wagoner has been a favorite of mine for several years. I was hoping the Tulsa restaurant would be as good. It was not. It was a disappointment.
The restaurant is worn, the service is average, and the soy sauce bottles on the table had not been wiped clean or refilled since Mao Zedong was in power. Luckily, searching the other tables, I was able to find a fairly new sriracha bottle that didnāt have sriracha boogers growing on the nozzle. The food was acceptable, but overrated in some reviews. No reason to come back.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI made the mistake of thinking this place was affiliated with Asian Star Market and Restaurant on 71st(ASMR)... so when ASMR was closed, I ordered from this place. It was such a disappointment. The General Tso's Chicken was mushy and bland. The Singapore Noodles were overly "soy'd" and the meat in it tasted dry and old. Not to mention they left all of the tails on the shrimp, so I had to constantly dig into the noodles with my fingers to pull off the tails. It was at least edible, so I gave them two stars. If you want good chinese food, for the same or cheaper price, go to Asian Star Market and Restaurant over on 71st.
Edit: Removed another star because the owner responded with some nonsense that had nothing to do with the point of my post. Regardless of the name of the dish, you left the freakin shrimp tails on! The food didn't meet my expectations because it was bad... not because the name...
