The only thing I can say positive about my experience there was the brisket was nice and moist as ordered. The service wasn't the best as we came in and sat down at the bar, the guy kinda stared at us a little bit before even attempting a greeting and asked if we would like a menu. He did offer a sample of beer when I was trying to decide which was nice. Ordered food and drink and was asked if wanted a tab or cash out. I said cash out and he immediately rung up the total and asked for payment. Once got the food, it reminded me of a school lunch meal or even they way they serve it in jail or something. was on a metal tray on top of a piece of paper and 2 little cardboard bowl things. the Mac and cheese looked like it was from yesterday all clumped together, and looked cold. when I took first bite it wasn't even warm. the potato salad was decent and the brisket was good. after getting food he didn't do a check back. luckily his partner did. when leaving he seen us getting up and walking to the door but didn't say anything. my wife was the one who had to engage first and say thank you. there are some other thoughts I have but won't say it and leave it at that. hopefully you will have a better experience

I am updating this to 3 stars as I do respect an owner or any form of management that replies to reviews. It means they care and do look at the reviews. I do recall the bartender asking if I wanted to start a tab or be cashed out and I did say cash out. It didn’t cross my mind that if I wanted any other food or dessert that I would have had to said to run a tab. I usually link running a tab with drinks not food so I definitely misunderstood. But with that being said, as a customer, it does make you feel like that your service is done once you cash out and that they don’t need to check back on you again. Luckily the female bartender did eventually ask if we were ok, but maybe because I kept looking at them since I know theres usually a check back after being served. I do believe that the food is made fresh daily, but the way it was served/ appeared/ tasted/ temperature didn’t show. I would have been happy if they nuked it a little. I do get the tray thing as I have seen BBQ places serve it on a flat tray but the sectioned off trays did remind me of the good ol school days, luckily no experience in jail though ;-) I do firmly believe that this establishment is better than what I initially wrote and would probably give it a second chance, as their other reviews reflect that it is a good establishment. Atmosphere was very cool and I like how the place was set up. I do encourage folks to give it a try as well! Don’t let my one experience be the deciding factor. Thank you Veg...
Read moreThe food in this place is well worth the trip. We ordered the 2 meat platter with the two sides. Brisket and pulled pork with BBQ beans and potato salad. Both meats were prepared with care, juicy, well seasoned and smoked to perfection. We were worried to try the bbq here as the PNW is not known for BBQ however we were pleased with the product. They delivered on the food. Now on the service we are not sure if is always like this average minus but man not a smile, not a welcome to...., no pleasantries just straight yes, no, ordered taken and back to the empty bar. Maybe the lady behind the counter was having a bad day or not feeling well but this was not the type of interaction we expected. From someone who truly enjoys beers, wines and food they fell short on the service. Again the place was very empty as it was past the traditional lunch hours. I will say give them your business and try the food and beers very delicious and you will leave satisfied and happy you came. Maybe a different front staff individual could make the customers feel a bit more welcome but this felt like the person didn't wanted to be there. So to Ms. S this was for you. Overall highly recommend this location for the food and beer hopefully someone else takes better care of...
Read moreDecent BBQ, but not good enough to make me a returning customer based on my poor customer service experience. I had heard good things, so I went into the restaurant to place an order. After about 20 minutes of waiting, a person that I'm sure is either the owner or the manager approached me to say that they couldn't give me my food. Why? Because of a mistake they made. Being told I couldn't get my order because of their inability to figure out how to charge an order placed over the phone is their problem, not mine. The card was more than valid, and the transaction finally went through after going back and forth with the employees and the manager/owner. In her own words, she said "sorry, but I can't just let $60 go out the front door." The right thing to do for a first time customer when you've made the mistake is to offer them food or work with them to make sure their experience was a good one. But nope, she didn't care, and I won't be returning as a result. Valuable lesson to business owners; when engaging with a first time customer, be good to them. I would have become a regular customer, spent money, and brought in new business. But now that...
