I would not recommend this place to anyone. We went there this afternoon for a late breakfast. They have 2 different menus, a double-sided sheet, and a fancy book. We got the sheet menu, they have sandwiches and breakfast. The drink menu is not on the menu and if your going to serve breakfast you gotta have orange juice. They don't even have dr.pepper, so my wife ordered the new York cheesecake pancakes that was post to have small cheese cake bits and pieces on top. What she got was some plane Jane pancakes with cheese cake sauce no bits and pieces or no WOW FACTOR what so ever. I order the Tiramisu French toast and everyone knows tiramisu is KNOWN FOR COFFEE. What I got instead was a slice of French toast some mascarpone cream a Graham Crack a little chocolate then another slice of French toast with a little whipped cream and a Graham cracker. So I'm nit sure if this is there take on it but where's the coffee I would have soaked the bread in expresso and make it like that and throw that damn Graham cracker away. Every item on the menu is $15 bucks or more so get ready to pay for something you are not aware how it's coming out. I would go to the snowcone place at least down there you know what your going to get. I understand your a new Cafe but at least HAVE A WOW FACTOR. Have something to make those people come...
Read moreI had the most incredible experience with New Town Café, and I’m writing this from all the way in Florida. I was trying to place a special order to be delivered to my aunt in Turlock, California. She hasn’t been feeling well, and I wanted to surprise her with one of her favorite things crepes from New Town Cafe.
The restaurant isn’t on any delivery app, and I couldn’t find a way to get an Uber or courier to help. That’s when Emily picked up the phone. She was so patient and kind, and she treated what I was trying to do like it was the most important thing in the world. She didn’t rush me, she didn’t treat it like an inconvenience, When she saw that I couldn’t get anyone to deliver it, she asked her manager for permission and she personally delivered the food to my aunt. Who does that? That’s not just good service—that’s heart. That’s someone who goes above and beyond without being asked.
Emily, you made my day and you made my aunt feel so special. You’re one of those people who makes the world a little better just by being in it. THANK YOU!!!
If you’re in Turlock, go to New Town Café. The food is excellent, and the people...
Read moreI cannot express how dissatisfied and disappointed I am in my experience here this evening. My mom has been there many times and loved it. We went there w/party of 20 after my father's funeral. We planned way in advance with them and we were looking forward to celebrating my dad's life. They were out of everything on the menu. 7 people ordered the ribeye and they were out. They didn't make us aware of this when we walked in. Instead the server said that the owner instructed her to sell what he had. Several plates were inedible and were sent back. It took hours and we asked to speak to the owner/chef he refused to apologize. The server was embarrassed and kind. This was a once in a lifetime event we were mourning and hadn't eaten all day. I could go on and on but the fact is that they're not prepared to be open. They need to do better and fyi the bill was out of line for what my mom went through. We literally had my dad's urn on a chair. I'm so sad and this was tragic that we cannot redo this moment. I could go on forever. Do better. (Orders that were correct did not match the menu and were awful). Ill prepared and...
