Visiting Donnelly Park at anytime of the year is always a fun occasion. See the ducks and geese. If you are lucky you can see the many fish when they are being fed. If you are really lucky you can catch a glimpse of turtles, which are a real treat to see. There are about four of them. Winter 2021 saw 2 dozen plus Pelicans arrive, after a while there were 40 plus. I don't know how long this can last, there can't be that many fish in the pond. March 2022 the mumber is down to 2 dozen plus Pelicans. Spring 2022 Pelican count is down to about 10. There are only so many fish in the little pond! Spring 2022 Turtle Mania has arrived to the park. I saw 12 turtles getting tans on the shore of the pond. Last time I saw a few turtles was about 3 years ago. This is a real treat. I've posted some pics, check them out. June 2022, the local population of ducks has increased this spring. So sadly, there are too many, it will be culled soon. I saw one duck family with 12 young ones. As in years passed this will be taken care of. 08/02/2022 Some pelicans have made a new life here. 10/08/2022 About 11-14 pelicans have stayed here at the park for over a year now. Down from 40+ earlier in the year. Bathrooms winter hours start Nov 1 till Feb 28. Open Mon thru Fri only; closes at 3pm. Closed Sat & Sun and city holidays. These hours really suck! April 25, 2023 Thank God that the Pelicans are gone, this is a small pond and there aren't that many fish to sustain 5 dozen Pelicans. Thank God for the new bathroom hours, what a blessing! 9/13/2023 it's so beautiful now, late summer, the...

Awesome family park with lots to offer. There's a large pond with hundreds of geese, ducks, and various birds to feed so bring your stale bread. I always stop at the .99¢ store to buy 4 or 5 loads before we go. There are 2 different playgrounds, one made out of wood that is huge and maze-like, the other aimed more for the little ones. Both feature swing sets. Basketball courts and barbecue pits with picnic tables. Even a huge one you can rent out for the day. Plenty of shade trees and areas for privacy if that's what you're looking for. During the summer there are mobile vendors wandering selling ice cream or cotton candy stuff like that. Always clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking either in a lot in the middle of the park or on the street all the way around the park. Locals walk around the park daily for exercise or rollerblade etc. Just a great park that my family and I enjoy year round. After all, those ducks still need bread in the winter. Also forgot to mention the pond has many, many fish in it as well and the ducks sometimes fight them for the bread. I do believe many locals have dumped fish in there once they outgrow their tanks or aquariums. No fishing allowed means the population of fish have kind of gotten out of hand. Still, I give a well deserved 5 stars all day every day to this...

Ducks and geese are friendlier in this area. Park is well maintained, so much room to play, picnic, and walk around. I seen turtles, geese, ducks of about 4 different species, carp fish, birds, little minnow like fish, and frogs today. My kids enjoys the playground a lot, very nice and shade covered area. He also enjoys the concrete bike/skate park area too, very nice recent addition.

Enjoy my time out here..plenty of space but also plenty of ducks and geese around. Be careful because these wild ones will come at you when they know your in a giving mood. Plenty of space to look around and enjoy the space, I believe it's about 10 acres worth of a park here. Multiple playgrounds and even a skate park spot. My kids love it here.
