Catfish Heaven — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

WOW! We drove well over an hour away to check out this place. It’s so difficult to find restaurants nowadays that truly care about providing fresh, cooked to order and hot food with fantastic, polite service. This place was a breath of fresh air! The portion size was very generous for the price. My husband and I could easily have split one catfish plate. It came with several pieces of catfish, plenty of fries, white bread, and hush puppies. Speaking of the hush puppies…man oh man were they delicious! We placed a second order and got another side of them. They didn’t have a dedicated kids menu which could be a downfall for some families with young kids that don’t eat very much. Our son ordered the 8-piece wing basket with the garlic parmesan sauce. It was better than any garlic parm sauce at any other wing place hands down. They use actual fresh garlic and that makes all the difference in the flavor if you’re a garlic fan like we are. The only drawback to this place is the lack of seating indoors. There’s 4 tables total that can hold up to 4 people each. Anyone waiting inside for their take out order can either sit at the few spare chairs available or take up seating at a table from those that actually want to sit to have a meal. My only suggestion would be to perhaps call the customer when their order is ready so they can wait in their vehicle instead during peak lunch or dinner times. This is the place to go for the best Southern fried catfish in the state. Sourced from Alabama farm raised catfish it is fresh and tasty. This place does two things. The other is wings. While I am a huge fan of their catfish, this last trip, I tried their wings after someone gave me a description of their Jalapeno Ranch wings. They were served with a creamy sauce, and a nice helping of Jalapeno slices. I was originally hoping for something with a little zing, but the milder flavors of the cooked Jalapenos made a flavorful blend that surprised me. It was incredibly good without being hot. In fact, I didn't miss the heat at all.

There are a variety of portion sizes sure to please your particular hunger craving at that time.

A place like this doesn't need a huge variety of offerings. What they sell is great tasting enough to keep them busy all day.

I was in Tuscaloosa Wednesday June 8th around 3:00.I was craving chicken wings and I remembered catfish heaven had some great wings so I went to catfish having to get some I wear a 10-piece combo hot lemon pepper.the girl at the counter was very nice and very polite and took my order and when I received my food I went to my car. Upon opening my order I discovered that my chicken wings were very tiny I don't remember catfish heaven's wings being small I remember them being the large wings and very delicious. This time they were tiny little wings way overcooked and all my order I had no lemon pepper I was very disappointed. It was a lot of sauce in the bowl which I imagine some people like if there was so much sauce that made my loop warm wings actually cold.fries were hot but they are multiple different degrees of cooked as if they were from the bottom of the pan and very tiny little pieces.just not what I remember on my last visit to catfish heaven but it's been a while but I...
