Summer Snow — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

There is no shaved ice that could even come close to competing with Summer Snow! It's as if they climb to the peaks of the Grand Tetons or the Swiss Alps to collect the softest and freshest of snows, magically transport it south, and top it with the delectable flavors! Too much? A little dramatic? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Summer Snow is the best and nothing compares!! :P

It's 5 minutes from campus - my friends and I used to rollerblade from Tutwiler or Ridgecrest just to treat ourselves! The staff is always friendly and there is plenty of parking, and seating (picnic tables & umbrellas). I graduated from Bama in 2015 and my mouth still waters when I hear "Summer Snow." The only thing that could make it better was if it was open year around!

I cannot tell a lie...I've literally planned a day trip from Birmingham to Ttown simply based on my Summer Snow cravings!! Finally got to introduce my fiance to it last week and he agrees - BEST SNOW CONES...

It's absolutely wonderful. Summer in Tuscaloosa doesn't start until you've had your Summer Snow. Of all the little places in this town that I love this hits the top. It's a small little shack on the edge of Alberta that would be forgotten if you didn't know it was there, but get one taste of their work and even if you're not going by you'll look over your shoulder at it every time. A favorite of mine to visit in the summer months whenever I'm in Tuscaloosa. It's a cash only establishment. Be prepared to either sit outside and eat or take the cones on the go since it's just a tiny building that they run out of. The staff are all really nice and it's always fast service, prices are great as well. If you want a recommendation as to which flavor to try I always recommend tiger blood.
