Been wanting to stop here for the past few weeks, Finally got the chance to stop in.. waited what felt like 10 minutes just to have our waitress come ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to ask for menus because we did not receive any. Waited what seemed like another 10 or 15 minutes to get our drinks. Finally got our drinks and had enough time to finish both of them just sipping on them before they even asked us what we wanted to order. I ordered another beer and we placed our order, my daughter ordered tacos with meat and cheese only. I ordered 4 street tacos. My girlfriend ordered 2 street tacos.. 45 minutes later they brought out the food.My daughters order was wrong and had to be taken back. The food was cold and had zero flavor. Nearly choked on the dry flavorless food while not having anything to drink with my meal. They apologized and said that they were understaffed. It was not busy at all and street tacos are very simple to make. I had to ask for limes , wait another 5 minutes just for limes. Absolute disappointment.. the waitress was rude and seemed to be confused when talking to her about anything and ahe didnt seem to care about her attitude. Do not recommended this place at all. Non attentive staff... We had to go inside to hunt down someone just to pay for our dog food of a meal.. Worse Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to and ive been to some bad ones.. save your money if you want tacos. Taco casa has more authenticity and flavor than what...

I recently visited Made in Mexico to place a to-go order, and while the food itself was delicious and the restaurant has a great aesthetic, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

First off, I had to wait nearly an hour just to receive my to-go order. After placing it, no one offered to charge me—I had to literally hold up my card and ask if they needed it. That moment alone showed me how unorganized the process is.

As I waited, I observed the chaos: no clear system for who’s taking orders, who’s running food, or who’s assisting guests walking in for dine-in, pickup, or to-go. Staff were huddled around the bar register, talking and laughing, while customers were clearly frustrated and waiting long periods for their food.

To top it off, I witnessed an entire family walk out because there were no proper seating arrangements for them—they had a toddler and a baby, but the restaurant didn’t even have high chairs available. That’s just poor hospitality.

Made in Mexico has a lot of potential with their amazing food and great atmosphere, but they seriously need to tighten up their service. It’s not just about the vibe—it’s about the experience, and unfortunately, that part missed the mark for me.

Do better,...

I came in on my short lunch break..... I ordered the 3 Street tacos that should have come with 2 sides and a free fountain drink.... 1st it took about 10 min for someone to take my order! There were only 2 customers sitting in to eat.... I waited for about 20 min for my foodwhich I don't mind, I like my food hot and fresh... But I was not offered a drink nor a time frame for my food.... She finally brings out my food.... I pay and ask for my drink, she asked me what I wanted, I told her Dr. Pepper and she tells me they don't do to go drinks!! Are you kidding me; why did you ask what I wanted to drink?? I even asked why wasn't I offered a drink while I wait? She ignored me.... I drive back to work to eat and only had the tacos! Not one of my sides were present! I called to inform them and the person that answered the phone wanted to argue with me and tell me it was in the bag!! So.... I opened each container with her on the phone and described what was in each one! I was told to come back and get my sides!! No apologies just too bad for me! The food I did get was delicious.... I do believe I can find the same quality of food with much better customer service! The customer service is...

My friend and I have been here twice now and this is what I have learned: 1. The food is great! Anything authentic from the menu always tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and leaves you happily full. 2. The drinks are also good. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed their regular margaritas, especially during happy hour when they are 50% off. 3. The service is horrible! No matter if they are busy or not, they are slow to take orders. They are not attentive when taking orders (my friend and I have both not been served water even when we asked). No one checks on your table throughout the meal, so if you run out of water, chips, or salsa, good luck flagging someone down to get more. Lastly, the kitchen must not talk to the wait staff. We've repeatedly been served wrong dishes or had parts of our dishes forgotten. At first I thought it was the place being busy the first time, but after our second visit, it is clear no one here is urgent nor pays that much attention to their customers.

My favorite Mexican Restaurant! This newish restaurant was voted best Mexican restaurant for The Best of T-Town Awards through the All Things Tuscaloosa Facebook Group. You’ll find all your favorites like enchiladas, chimichangas, quesadillas and tacos, but venture out to try other favorites like their Big Huaraches! And what’s a great Mexican meal without Margaritas? They offer all the traditional favorites like lime, watermelon, strawberry and more but they also have 12 Craft Margaritas featuring unique blends of tequila and other flavors. Be sure to try a few and find your favorites. The waitstaff is very friend, aims to please and obviously excited to be open. Be sure to stop in for lunch and dinner soon. This restaurant is destined to be a local favorite for years to come. Give it a try. Open Monday thru Sunday 11 am - 9 pm.

Ate here about a month ago and just getting r around to posting about it. Service took a while to get our orders in, get the food, and refills, and the check took a while. I shared food with a friend. I like the enchiladas but I thought the pastor on the huarache was under seasoned. (Huarache not pictured as it was her order). Alcoholic drinks came quickly though and were very good. I will try this place again as the margarita selection is amazing. Also the charro beans were perfect, closest I’ve had since leaving Texas. Hopefully will have a more attentive server next time.
