He invited us to come back to the restaurant on his dime. We had the most wonderful time. Food was good, services were good, but the most amazing thing was they went above and beyond for our daughter for her birthday. They sang her happy birthday. She felt very special! We will be back, and often! Well, as often as we can!
My husband and I took our daughter here for her 18th birthday. We arrived around 8 PM and were immediately seated. Our order was taken right away, and our drinks arrived quickly. However, the middle-aged Asian woman serving us was clearly flirting with my husband—so much so that our daughter noticed. When he flashed his wedding ring, she toned it down a bit. It seemed like she was more focused on flirting with him than on providing good service, as they were slow to replace the grill plate. Additionally, some of the meat tasted spoiled, even after grilling.
My daughter, who ordered the soup and made hers mostly seafood, ate only some of the grilled meat and didn’t get food poisoning. However, both my husband and I, who ate mostly the grilled meat, got food poisoning. Needless to say, we will...
Read moreThis place opened a week ago and we decided to give it a try. Really like the combination of hot hot plus Korean BBQ.
This place is spacious with tables quite far apart and each table has its own range hood. Received a warm welcome and immediately got seated. The waitress was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. We both ordered sweet Chinese herbal tea (a must for hot pot).
The Korean BBQ offers quite a selection. Highly recommend the lamb chop, beef short ribs, squid and pork/beef bulgogi. They were all well marinated and tender.
The sauce station is a must for any hot pot place. The idea is to mix your own sauce from 8-10 sauces being offered. I recommend mixing soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, cilantro, green onion and “sha cha sauce”. I added a spoonful of chopped chilies as well. Once the food is cooked in the hot pot, I then dipped it in the sauce.
As for the hot pot, I chose the spicy Sichuan soup base and cooked mostly the vegetables and seafood. I skipped the meat because they were too thinly shaved. I think the BBQ meat was much better quality.
If you still have room at the end, you can try all eight flavors of ice cream.
In balance, it was an enjoyable dinner and the price is reasonable (like under $40 ) for all you can eat hot...
