Read moreI visited The Pink Parlor for the first time this past weekend and found it charmingly decorated. The two young girl staff members were exceptionally friendly and patient, allowing us to sample and take our time with the menu.
However, the layout could use some improvement. The placement of the tables in the middle of the floor created a maze-like situation, making it difficult for new customers to get in line while others were waiting.
When it was time to check out, the owner’s demeanor was less welcoming. My friend’s scoop was slightly larger than the standard "one scoop" size I guess, but it seemed reasonable to me. The owner insisted on the girl to weigh it. I might add that there was about 7 people behind us. The owner said that it was 3 ounces over.

I wanted to sample a single flavor but she rolled her eyes at me and told me I’m holding up the line (there was 1 couple behind us which were there to tell her she had forgotten their milkshake). She then continued to rush us to order and proceeded to apologize to the couple behind us. We had a $70 order and the owner was rushing us to get to a small 2 person order like we weren’t also customers. We had our whole order ready to go and written down. We also ordered a cherry pie shake and they didn’t even know what it tasted like. Don’t food places sample their foods before putting it...
