My wife and I were down by exit 1 in Nashua for her work, and we wanted get some pizza. Sorry southern NH, but just can’t find decent pizza in the area. We found Mave’s Kitchen on google and tried it out. We didn’t call ahead, so we wound up waiting for our pizza to be prepared. While we waited, we chatted with the owners as they went about their business preparing food and taking care of customers. In conversation the owner mentioned that they grind their own meats and make their sauces from scratch. Because we didn’t call ahead, we waited for our pizzas, the owners couldn’t let us sit there hungry and they sent over a sampling of their homemade meatballs and sauce - so delicious, I could have eaten a bucket of them! They are the nicest people! We grabbed 2 pizzas and some gluten free pasta to cook later. The owner described how he searched high and low to find a delicious gluten free pasta from all of his sources to land on the one he is selling in his place. We also grabbed a cannoli: which they constructed after we ordered it - it wasn’t just sitting in a case waiting for someone to take it home… and of course the cannoli is also homemade and delicious. Anyway, about the pizza: it was the best, most delicious pizza we have had in many years. The chicken, broccoli Alfredo pizza is a masterpiece. The flavor was deep and layered, perfectly balance and savory. The chicken was nicely cooked and the garlic was just fantastic. Ample toppings. Some places give you a small hint of the topping and you’re left wondering, “what did I just pay for” - this was perfect. The crust is thin and tasty - it reheats perfectly in an oven with a pizza stone. We were very happy with the price as well, ever since COVID it seems like restaurant quality has taken a hit while prices continue to climb. The quality of the food, the freshness of the ingredients, the stunning flavor and also the warmth of the personalities in this place left us with an unfamiliar feeling: complete and utter satisfaction after going out for a pizza. If you have been here, then you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t tried them yet: do it, your tastebuds will thank you. Thank you Mave’s for renewing my faith in takeout pizza! Just wanted to point: I gave Mave’s 5 stars for atmosphere because it is a clean, friendly, local takeout...
Read moreI found Mave’s Kitchen by chance while using Maps and after reading all the rave reviews we had to try it. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted and the door held for us as we came in. Even the other patron dining was friendly and had great suggestions. The staff was attentive and our apps came quickly. We started with the eggplant rollatini and it was delicious. My husband isn’t even an eggplant fan and he kept saying how good it was. We also tried the meatballs and that’s where I was incredibly impressed. They were excellent AND I KNEW that they did something that most other restaurants don’t do because I do it too and it make ALL the difference in a meatball; they make their own breadcrumbs. So, so good! My husband got the veal cutlet and loved it. He said the sauce was traditional but delicious and the veal was excellent and he is very picky about his veal parm. I got the veal piccata and loved it. It was loaded with capers and the veal was tender and perfectly lemony. Unfortunately, by the time my meal came, I was so full that I took most of it home so I am glad that I am going to have it for lunch tomorrow. Probably dinner too. Excellent portions. I highly recommend this place. Actually, no stay away. More for us. Side note, although there are tables to sit and eat it, the restaurant has the appearance of a take out place. This is fine for us but I just wanted to make note. If you were looking for swanky atmosphere or a place for a formal dinner this won’t work but the food more than makes up for anything it may be lacking...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem along 3A in Tynsboro. We found it on Google map while another restaurant down the road was crowded. Initially we thought it's takeout only but they do have 3 tables for four so we decided to dine in. I had the shrimp scampi. The fresh shrimps were large and plump, the sauce with fresh limon was tasty and refreshing. Wife had the steak tips with rice and veggies. The tips were well marinaded and grilled nicely. My son had the chicken parm pasta. He doesn't like write essays but he gave me a full review of how good the dish was while we drove home using words like "tender and juicy chicken, gooey cheese, and flavorful marinara sauce". My daughter had the adult size meatball pasta and she almost finished the whole thing. We also ordered onion ring. For $4.95, it was not just a handful of rings, but a whole onion shoe stringed, battered and fried to golden crispy. We finished it without a single drop of ketchup. The owners are hard working people and very...
