Pho Deluxe Tysons is clean, spacious, and casual with plenty of parking and fair prices. The pho is hot and generous, spring rolls are fresh, and grilled pork with rice is a standout. Service is usually quick and friendly, though broth flavor can be on the mild side. A reliable choice for a comforting, no-frills Vietnamese meal in Tysons.
If you would like to know more, Pho Deluxe Tysons delivers a dependable bowl of pho in a roomy, well-kept dining room accented with archways, brick walls, and modern pendant lights. The vibe is relaxed, shifting from lively chatter during peak times to calm and quiet mid-afternoon. Aromas of simmering broth and grilled meats set the stage as soon as you walk in. On our second visit we were greeted as though we were old friends, which might explain why we have found ourselves coming back at least six times in as many weeks.
The phở (Vietnamese noodle soup) arrives steaming hot with a generous plate of basil, lime, and sprouts. It’s correctly spelled phở and pronounced “fuh” in Vietnamese, not “foe” as many of us grew up saying. And since phở itself means noodle soup, there’s no need to add the word “soup” after it.
Meat portions are hearty, noodles tender, and while the broth leans lighter in depth, it is easily brightened with hoisin or chili. Spring rolls are tightly wrapped and fresh, served with a balanced peanut sauce, while the grilled pork chop and shrimp rice plate shines with smoky char and sweet-savory seasoning. Portions are ample, plating is straightforward, and freshness is consistent across dishes.
Service is generally efficient and friendly, with food arriving promptly. Pricing is reasonable given the portion sizes, and wait times are short outside of weekend evenings.
The bottom line is that Pho Deluxe Tysons won’t wow you with flash, but it will leave you satisfied with hearty portions, a relaxed setting, and...
Read moreNot a good choice for lunch today. We were here 4 years ago and didn't care for the food or service. But a friend of our said they were better now and recommended it. First, it took almost 30 minutes from the time we placed our order until the 3 bowls of pho arrived on the table. After watching 3 guests arrive after us receive their lunch, I asked where ours was. The response was "there was a technical glitch." Wish I could have asked what that meant but he ran off without further explanation. Not even an offer of a spring roll for our trouble. My wife said her pho tasted OK (the only reason I am giving 2 stars). My son gave his a meh rating. Mine tasted like it was watered down and lacked any significant flavor other than the cilantro stems that were floating around. Not one leafy part of cilantro in my bowl as far as I could tell. Leftovers from yesterday? Sriracha was my friend to help me get through it. The portion for all of us was small by comparison to other places we've been. Other customers had their bill brought to the table. Not us, so I went to the register to pay. Not usually a big deal, but just added to the bad service theme. The lady asked "was everything OK?" Seriously? We're you not in the restaurant today? You are the one who took our order. Clearly a formality question because she didn't react at all when I said no. Or maybe she didn't care. My last hope was that their might be some discount for our trouble and compensation for the "glitch" they had. Nope, just a recommended gratuity. I left a $0 gratuity and handed her the signed credit card receipt. She never made eye contact with me. No gratuity, but here's a tip. Treat your customers better. Mistakes happen. How you respond is important and the determining factor as to whether I would spend my time and money in your...
Read moreRacism Alert!!! I've been here before by myself since they have decent Pho but today I brought my 2 boys, 5 and 6. In the past I noticed terrible service but I chose to look past it at first giving the benefit of the doubt that everyone has a bad day. Today, i couldn't take how blatant and obvious the proprietors were being. I could only attribute this to racism. My kids and I are Hispanic and I have visible tattoos on my arm. The owners are Asian and I would assume Vietnamese since it's a Pho Deluxe Tysons. We waited for almost 10 minutes before an elderly lady shouted for us and pointed at a table to sit at. At this point I begin to look around and observe the staff and how they are interacting with us and the rest of the clientele which were 90% Asian. The other elderly man who was helping kept passing us as well as the elderly woman even though we were ready to order. I noticed another Asian couple come in behind us and there was absolutely no wait for them. The lady stopped and walked to the front to greet them and walk them to there seat. I thought ok, something is off. Still giving the benefit of the doubt, I thought they would now take our order. NOPE! They continued to walk past us and ignore us. After 5-10 minutes, the lady walked to take the couples order that had come after us. My boys were extremely hungry and restless and before I flipped out we began to walk out. The elderly owners looked and looked away. I walked over to the lady and told her in a calm voice we were leaving because of the bad service. She said something in another language and in a "shooing" motion gestures to the door. These people had some type of agenda and prejudice towards me and my family and I think everyone should be aware of this before supporting...
