King's Fish & Wings — Restaurant in Union City

I had a taste for some fried whiting and this place was the closest to me at the time, so I decided to go there. I'm very particular about eating from the these kind of places because I'm very big on quality, quantity, cleanliness and customer service when it comes to carry out/dine in spots. So with that being, I'm from the DMV area, DC & MD is known for our Asian owned carry outs, good eats--Chinese food, fried fish, wings, etc. I ordered KFW's 2 piece Whiting combo. Let's just say I was not impressed. As far as the price I can't argue with that. For $6.99 you get fish a side and a drink for $6.99 which is reasonable and about average you're going to pay for a meal like this . What was not reasonable is the quality of the food. The food came out with 3 teeny tiny, too skinny looking pieces of overcooked dried up looking fish. The fries, were very bland tasting and undercooked. I asked the guy at the register why I had received bread with my order, and he told me that it comes with hush puppies and bread would be an additional 50 cents. I got a hush puppy, no I'm lying, I got (2) hush puppies, which I didn't eat anyway because I'm not a hush puppy fan like that. All wasn't bad, their peach drink wasn't bad, but tgen again, I didn't go there for that. All in all disappointed with this place. I will not be returning. First I sat 3 minutes at drive thru mic/speaker... while looking over menu to place my order...then I realized that the system doesn't work so you have to drive to window to order ..now there are two cars behind me. I pull around and I sit behind the car already there for about five minutes before I decide to park and go inside. Although, there is no one in side, after waiting and watching the worker take, place and prepare orther orders for another five minutes. ..I had to actually ask her to please take my order as I had been in line waiting, came inside...waiting and now she had served people who came up after me. She was very "Oh Well" Not rude..just a "don't care attitude", no smile or anything even when I flashed a big smile saying "thank you so much, have a Happy New Year". .....nothing. I’ve been coming here a few months. The food is good, the wait time is also. However, the younger team members need a lot of training in what customer service & professionalism is. They consistently curse in front of customers, including using the “N” word, very derogatory. If they ask you to park to wait on your order (perfectly fine) the person who brings your food to you don’t greet you asking how you are doing, no thank you or anything. When you get to the window, most of them just look at you, no greeting or anything. Again I like the food and wait time but the customer service needs MAJOR work! I don’t typically leave reviews so this for me is something I witness often.
