Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Union City

I've been here a few times now, 3 times eat in and once take out. The take out was the only positive experience I've had.

The pros - they did a good job in remodeling this space, and it has potential to be good. The pizza itself (veggiemore in particular) is quite good and probably worth their premium price.

The downside -this restaurant seems very poorly managed. The lunch buffet appears a good deal, but they've stopped including drinks. They also make you re-use your plates if you go back up to the buffet - I'm pretty sure this is a health code violation.

They also don't have very much pizza on the buffet. Today when I went in, they had half a pizza left for my party of three, and I pointed that out to them, and they said they make more as the pizza runs out. We were there for 30 minutes and they never restocked the pizza. So we basically paid $30 for half a medium pizza - not a very good value.

Finally, the cleanliness of this place leaves much to be desired - they don't seem to bus their tables often, nor do they wipe the tables well.

If you do give them a chance, I'd suggest carry out - the in restaurant experience is very disappointing for a place that...

I stop by Mountain Mike’s Pizza with a friend for lunch and we were both impressed by an outstanding pizza experience that was hard to beat.

From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and perfect for both a work lunch and casual outings with friends.

I am a pizza lover and have tried all different kinds pizzas around the world. The pizza at place was simply exceptional. We ordered a combo speciality pizza and a buffalo wings. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside, providing the ideal base for their delicious toppings. The toppings came with generous portions of fresh, high-quality ingredients that ensures every bite was delightful. The wings were crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. They were well cooked. We also ordered the draft beer, it was so fresh.

Was promised a free pizza with a good review. Wrote a very nice, thoughtful review. Free pizza was not given. Years later, had HORRIFIC SERVICE at the owner's other 32170 Dyer St location with a manager of 12 years telling me over and over again that an overcharge was what they had always done. But for dozens of times I went there, that wasn't the case. She was smirking and giggling the more upset I got, she enjoyed it. Upon this, I insisted on the free pizza. I spoke to the owner (Terri) at this location. Although she was there, she said she was "not working today" so she sent me back to the other location although I would rather pick it up here to avoid the terrible service.
