Came in on Tuesday night 15 min before closing. We had ordered online so we didn't wait as long as it seems others did. There was a line and it grew even longer behind us. They were busy and the staff was working as fast they could. The service was still friendly despite the rush, which seems this place is always busy. The decor and ambiance was a bit confusing. The front of house was.. uhm not sure what kind of feel they were going for. Though.. head towards the back off of the front counter.. and WOW. The artwork was amazing. We of course had to take our photos there. Now, the food and drinks. We order the upside down halo halos, thai tea, ube truffle, leche flan ube brownie and ube butter. I rate the food in that order. Although all ube, all different flavours. The truffle was bomb. The thai tea was meh. Don't come here for that. But come for the upside down halo halo. We came from South San Jose and the drive was def worth it. Ube lovers don't miss out...
Read moreSuper delicious if you're an ube lover like me! I loved that the desserts weren't too sweet and had prominent ube flavor.
Ube milkshake - hints of coconut, not too sweet, and good ube flavor Ube cheesecake - loved the fluffy texture and crunchy bits on top Crinkle cookie - soft, reminded me of a cookie cake, not very sweet Churrochie - chewy mochi dough, lovely cinnamon flavor (I recommend ordering ice cream separately because it melts quickly with the sauce) Grilled cheese - tons of cheese, nicely toasted
I went on a weekend and it took ~40 minutes (online order est. 20 minutes). I recommend ordering online before arriving and add 15 minutes to the estimated wait time as there were some large orders and a constant line out the door. The employees were friendly and made sure to help everyone out, also they were working at...
Read moreCame in for an after dinner dessert. The parking at the place where this is located is pretty small so I can see that finding parking can get difficult at times. Once you enter, you can either order with the cashier or through a tablet on the right side wall.
The menu is surprisingly robust for most things having Ube. We got ube milk tea, milo milk tea, and Ube leche flan. Everything was good but nothing memorable.
What I liked: Ube! There were a lot of unique drinks on the menu.
What I didn't like: There's only one size for the drinks. The cost of substituting soy or almond milk is almost $2! The Ube leche flan was pretty dry; both the flan and the cupcake.
We'll probably come back again when we're in the area to try other things in the menu. The halo halo looks...
