First time and last time visitor. I should’ve read the reviews before I wasted my money there. I ordered a side of macaroni salad. She said they don’t have any. I ordered potato salad. She said they don’t have that either. I ordered a slice of caramel cake. She said they don’t have that as well. I asked if they just ran out for the day or they don’t sell it anymore? She said, “we would have to make some, we don’t sell it.” Confusing answer, but why is it on the menu? I tried to order snapper escoveitch, but she said it would take 25-30 minutes. I ended up ordering a veggie patty and oxtail plate. Tried to pay with my debit card. She said they don’t accept cards, only cash or CashApp. A restaurant accepting CashApp is a red flag. I was going to cancel my order but I was really hungry. 10 minutes later, she brings my food out. The oxtails were light in color. I bit into the veggie patty immediately: it was dry, nothing but dry carrots and peas and a whole bunch of air inside. No seasonings, no spice, no peppers, no onions, just a few carrots, a few more peas, and 2 kernels of corn. Very bland and blah. The oxtails plate was worse! As aforementioned, they were a light brown tannish color. The sauce wasn’t gravy-like, it looked like light brown dirty water. Extremely watery. The rice was bland, pale white rice with 3 beans/peas in it. The plantains were completely soggy yet stale and disgusting. The oxtails tasted strange, so did the oxtail water. Nasty, even. I didn’t even bother to taste the cabbage that was on the plate, because I never wanted cabbage, it’s just that the sides I wanted they magically didn’t have. Very disappointing meal, complete waste of my time and money. Never again! Naomi’s toots itself as being authentic Caribbean cuisine, but it’s an authentic...
Read moreI eat here frequently and love the Tobago wraps, however recently I ordered a oxtail Tobago wrap & got 2-3 tiny pieces of oxtail the tip of my pinky finger size (I'm 5'1 so my hands are small) one piece was mostly fat and the rest was alot of rice and cabbage.as much as I eat here I shouldn't be giving a bad rating, but I feel the quality of the food has gone down tremendously idk what changed but please fix because I like coming here and want to support this business. This is the only Trini restaurant I've been too but I'm sure that a Trini mom's home cooking is more authentic then the food I've recently received. And the jerk sauce just taste like barbeque, please add more flavor to all the food that will keep customer's coming, I've now just been going here because of the convenience and affordable price but the quality is not up to par. I know it's not Jamaican food but I'd rather go to one sometimes. Please fix the plantains portions as well and the macaroni pie I had was too dry, very dissapointing. Also time for orders should be considered me and my cousin ordered food and waited an hour for two plates, not exaggerating with the time, we had a ride...
