Dairi-O — Restaurant in Union

Wait time was absolutely HORRIBLE, and I do mean horrible! Even people who had placed call-in orders were STILL having to WAIT for a good little while once they arrived to pick their food up. They have a note on their menu board that suggests that you call your orders in ahead of time next time "if you're in a hurry," but from what we witnessed while there, that doesn't make much difference at all in getting your food quicker. Plus a lot of times, they won't even answer the phone so that you CAN place a call-in order. We had to wait SO LONG that the first portion of our order (that they'd already bagged & handed to us) was cold before we ever got the other part of the food we ordered. And when we asked staff how much longer we'd be waiting (because at this point we'd been waiting, I kid you not, over 20-25+ minutes for the last plate in our small order) we got rather rude responses from employees, which was definitely not appreciated. They never once ever apologized for the extremely long wait, and there was no empathy towards paying customers or anything; very poor customer service. The prices are a bit steep, too. Now I will say, though, that their burgers are hand-patted and remained a nice size even after cooked. The food needs more seasoning & flavor for sure, but overall it was a solid meal...once we finally...

Been going to Dari-O for many years, have seen a definite decline in customer service during and since the COVID-19 pandemic. Have also noted significant increases in wait times at the carry out window, to the extent that i have left several times without ordering after waiting quite a while and no one in the restaurant seeming to care or acknowledge my presence. Employees used to greet you when you arrived and thanked you for coming, that's all over now. The food is still great if you can get it served. UPDATE as of 2/17/25, I have noted some serious price increases here since my review 2 years ago, along with a noted decline in the quality of the food served. I have also noted, much to my chagrin, that what was once the best sweet iced tea in town is no longer served at Dairi-O, they have changed either their method of making it or have changed their supplier, either way my favorite beverage is no longer available at Dairi-O. Guess I'll have to find myself another good...

If I could give this place no stars, I would I am visiting from out of state and this place was recommended to us and I would not recommend it to anybody else. I guess my standards are just higher than everybody else is that live in this area, but the service was on professional. My food was prepared and sitting back there.Why the rest of the food was getting ready?Which was not right on ice cream was melted, and when I brought that update, they said it had to do with the hot fudge, The ice cream would not have melted because of the hot fudge. It melted because it was sitting there for too long. I also feel like this place was a little bit on the races side. My husband and I walked up which we are interracial marriage and we waited on our food longer than somebody that came up after we did, that was fully white. How fair is that. But again, I am not from this state, I am from at a state so I guess my standards are just higher than everybody else is...
