El Poblano Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Union

El Pablano values its customers SO much that they charge them for EACH container that they receive food in for To-Go orders.... .all WITHOUT telling them AND also leave out part of their food! My workplace orders lunch from here quite often and this is what we realized they were doing to us today. My order was missing its taco and I wasn't going to say anything about it until we noticed the charges for the carry-out containers. I called to complain and I heard the guy giggling when I said I'd like him to take my name and number so that I could get my taco later (as I was still at work and no longer on my lunch break). I asked to speak to the manager and he said that he was the manager! I couldn't believe how unprofessional! When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told he wouldn't be in until later. They have lost loyal customers by their petty actions. It wasn't about the cost so much as the principal behind it all. We will now be going to La Fogata in Union...

My friend invited me to dinner and we went to the El Poblano Mexican restaurant. While being lead to our table the host was at least twenty paces ahead of us, then threw the menus on the table and walked away. Our waitress arrived nine minutes after we were seated. Her cell phone rang and she took our order while holding her phone to her ear. My order arrived five and a half minutes before my friend's did. The Pollo Fundido chicken was crumbly & watery, the cheese sauce was cold and the rice was crunchy. Not wanting to upset my friend, I ate several bites of my meal. I commented that my meal was tasteless. We had to ask several times for one refill of our tea. Our waitress never spoke to us as she placed the our the table. On the drive home both of us discussed our experience at the El Poblano Mexican restaurant. I had realised that my "chicken" was from a can. I will NEVER return to that restaurant. I'm not sure if quality has degraded since the opening of the new location, but this one seems to have gone completely downhill. My silverware had old food plastered to them and my cup was dirty on the inside (not that it matters where-but it was extremely noticeable). I ordered the Mexicana Quesadilla with chicken. One of the quesadillas had ONLY chicken that noone took the time to shred or cube into smaller portions. It was basically one chunk of chicken that I had to shred myself. The other quesadilla was filled with basically just beans. Obviously no care went into making the meal, as they put all of the chicken into one quesadilla with none of the other toppings, and the other quesadilla had just toppings and almost no chicken.
