Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Union

We have a big family of 8 so, we take up 2 tables since there isn't really an option for a bigger table than a 4 top. There aren't a ton of tables, maybe 10? so, we try to not come when it's busy. Everyone is really friendly and will check and make sure you have everything you need even though it's a counter order place. You get a number and your food is brought out. They have Coke products, tea and lemonade. as for sandwiches, The Original is always fantastic. I honestly don't get anything else,even though the other sandwiches look yummy too! The giant is GIANT. I usually get a small and with chips and a pickle it's plenty enough for me. My kids LOVE the kids pizza. Ages 9-1 and all of them will eat the entire thing happily. I love that they have the option for fresh fruit as a side. We've also tried the broccoli cheese soup and it's comparable to Panera I think! You are given the option of crackers or breadsticks (GET THE BREADSTICKS! They are garlicky and buttery and chewy like the sandwich bread and I could have eaten just a plate of them alone!) Cost wise,It's a bit pricier, but as a big family we expect to pay $$ when we go out. I've eaten there with just my mom and the 2 of us getting a small original meal plus a cup of soup to share...

The food is tasty! But if I had not been to the location in Louisville I would not know it.

We ordered delivery through the store website and when we got the notification that it was delivered the food had not arrived. There was no picture to verify the delivery in the email we received. Upon calling the store we got the voicemail box twice times before the phone was picked up. When we finally did get an answer and were able to ask who to talk to in order to get a refund, we were asked to verify the order 3 times. Which we did. They then said they would call us back which they did shortly, and the same person gave us another small run around asking all the same questions as the first time only to tell us they gave the order to someone else and they could not help us. The excuse being there was a problem with how their system processed the order. Apparently the website said delivery on our end and pick up on theirs? And that was how it was left. I am out $26 and still hungry due to their mess up with no offer of compensation.

31 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. There were 10-15 people with to go orders and others seated waiting for their meals, who had been waiting 15-20mins prior to us. The first time we dined in, similar experience with less people present than today. An employee told us waiting for our to go orders that they must fulfill any ONLINE orders first regardless of when the order was placed, and online orders took precedence over customers who ordered in store. They obviously have a flaw in their work flow if they cant produce 2 sandwiches in a 10 minute window and prioritizes online orders. Unfortunately we wont be returning...
