I know this sounds cliche, but if I could give no stars, I would. And how sad to say for a location in such a nice and up and coming area.
When we walked in, the person who took out order seemed nice enough and she was patient which was nice. We ordered 2 small blended coffees and an everything bagel to share. But that experience was gone very soon after. It was hard to find a clean table. The bagel was burnt on one end but my daughter didn't complain.. my mocha cold brew whatever thing, was supposed to be blended but was not done thoroughly so there were huge ice chunks. Overall the flavor in both was not pleasant and they were both already melting when we walked to the counter to get them. My daughter said hers was at least blended but didn't taste like anything. I did try to just get an iced mocha which I felt awkward about because of how rudely I was treated by a female employee with her super special head set, but unfortunately it was no better. It tasted like a lot of Hershey syrup which I could see in a thick layer at the bottom of the cup, and very little coffee. I tried stirring it but it was just terrible. I'm not sure why it too was melted so much when I was told cold brew is used to make the drinks... the worst part was when I actually decided that I wanted to let them know the drinks were not good, and I mean so bad they were still nearly full. I could tell walking up, that the experience would again be awkward because the person I asked to remake the drink and the girl who took my order could see me coming and seemed to discuss it for a moment. I apologized to the girl we ordered from initially and said the drinks just weren't good. I wasn't sure if she could do anything but it was a lot to spend on something that's just not good.. the other person stood behind her until I finished speaking and then walked away. The girl in front of me seemed confused and asked for a moment, walked away and came back with the same person that was just standing there before. No smile, complete attitude. "How did you pay?" I responded and told her my card and she told me to put it in the kiosk. She asked if I wanted a receipt which I did,, and she said I would get $12 and some change. I said thank you.. No apologies, nothing. It was pretty embarrassing to be treated that way in front of my daughter and to be honest it took some restraint to hold my tongue. Why even get a job where you KNOW you have to work with people and customers on a daily basis, but treat them in a way that they themselves would not be okay with if someone did it to them?? This was my worst ever at a Panera. How disappointing. No one should have to feel bad or ashamed to let a business know they aren't happy with something. We went down the street to Dunkin before our nail appointment and were much more satisfied...
Read moreCame in close to 4pm and it was completely empty except a was a lady waiting patiently at the counter with a cookie. We stood there for 10 minutes when the lady yelled back HELLOO, someone answered- be there in a minute. Another 5 minutes dragged by so I walked to the back and saw at least 5 different employees kinda fiddling around. I returned to the counter where the lady was and now and older gentleman came in, and waited a few minutes before finally ordering at the kiosk. I followed behind him hoping it would make things go faster. At this time the poor woman who was waiting to pay for a single cookie had been there for 20 minutes or more. Finally a girl with a scarf on her head came up and apologized and let her pay for her cookie then rushed back to the back. We got our food, but we wanted a few pastries that weren’t available on the kiosk so we knew we’d be waiting another 20 minutes. They were never terribly busy and we waited entirely too long for...
Read moreWhat a let down! Order was completely messed up from the get go. Apparently the staff doesn’t know the difference between a bowl of soup and a cup of soup. I ordered a bowl, got a cup, took it back to the counter, where the person demanded I present my receipt, which clearly listed bwl, so she takes the cup and then comes back and says they’re all out, would I like something else? No. Refund the soup portion of my meal. Then on returning to our table, my wife informs me our bakery order was doubled- so back to the counter I go, where I paid for the extra, knowing they can’t (or shouldn’t) take food back once served. I spoke with the manager, who advised me that they have so much turnover and people are always new, and have trouble getting it right. I agreed, we’ve be disappointed here in the past, and neither service nor competency have changed for the better in months. In my view, if you want to be disappointed, head for the...
