This restaurant is locally owned. The last few times I've been to DiMarcos was to get drinks. The bar has a good selection. They used to have a ton of beers on tap, not as many recently. I can honestly say I haven't ate there in years. I have heard from friends that the food is pretty good again. I used to go there for their steak salads but a few years ago they changed the salads and they just weren't as good. My biggest complaint about this restaurant the last 5-8 years, yes I said years, is the service/wait staff. I feel that they are unprofessional, slow at waiting on tables and checking on their customers, not managed well, and some have been unfriendly.
Update: Went to eat at DiMarcos last week. They weren't very busy when we arrived but it did pick up with a few more tables as we were there. Service was pretty good. Food came out in a timely manner. I got a steak salad, as I had mentioned before. The steak was good not quite like the original but not just steak pieces. Fries are not the original shoestring fresh cuts. I got my husband a godfather to go, still impressively big. My mother got the steak hoagie she said...
Read moreNot a fan of their vodka sauce. Tasted like they just had marinara sauce and poured some vodka in it. Had that vodka burn when I swallowed the pasta and sauce. Vodka sauce is supposed to be rich and creamy, like alfredo, but with a more rich flavor, this was watered down with no flavor. I always try foods with sauces at different places I go. First I try the classic like alfredo and see how well they did and then I try a riskier sauce, like the vodka sauce, and see if they pulled it off. Unfortunately, they did not pull off the vodka sauce. I was disappointed. Their customer service was not well either, which was disappointing because in the past we had a bit better customer service than what we had here. Felt like we were getting blown off because we weren't at the bar. Had my boyfriend and kids with us and felt blown off. We waited for at least 30 minutes...
Read moreThe location is excellent and so is the staff! Very friendly, knowledgeable and team DiMarco’s for sure! However, I ordered the Chicken Piccata and it was way below expectations. Something very simple, box fettuccine, was made with little care or knowledge to al denté. It needed 5 more minutes in the water to achieve that “to the tooth”. There were maybe 8 capers. No hint of lemon or white wine. The chicken was so finely diced that I’m pretty sure it wasn’t even a whole breast. It should have been served whole. Served with a knife. If you want drinks and appetizers, then definitely stop here! For an actual meal, this is my third attempt. Three strikes you’re out. We will never be...
