I am very on the fence about Papa Johns. I kept going between 2 and 3 stars. I love their pizza and breadsticks, has been one of my favorites for years. However EVERY time I call to order it just rings and rings in the past anyways. Now today it placed me on hold immediately after ringing. I was on hold for 5 minutes, got tired of waiting since I knew how they never answer before so hung up and called back. Waited on hold 10 minutes this time, got tired of waiting. So I just kept calling back and would hang up after waiting on hold for a minute or two figured they would get tired of hearing the phone ring, that wasn't the case. I tried getting through my whole 25 minute drive there and never talked to anyone. Once I got there and went in I asked how long it would be to make a pizza he said 10 minutes I said ok I just wanted to make sure cause I haven't been able to get through the whole way here. He said about them being really busy I don't believe that because once I'm there you say it only will take 10 minutes and you never answer the phone any other time. Read moreI left a review on Facebook right after the incident, and I've made absolutely sure that everyone who even mentions pizza knows this place is a joke and has terrible customer service.
Got off work at 10, the boyfriend and I were hungry, so I placed a carry out order on the website, the place closes at 11pm. I Place the order roughly 9:45. I get a call roughly 10:15(I'm sitting out side the restaurant, waiting for the "ready for pickup" Text. They said they closed at 10pm and hung up.
Never got a chance to say a thing, so I pull up there website, just to double check the hours of this particular location. 11am or so, to 11pm. So naturally, I call back upset, "Papa johns, sorry we're-" I interrupt her, and simply ask as to why they closed early since the website and the hours on their door says 11pm? I get hung up on again.
I'm a manager, and with the Pandemic going on, I fully understand staffing issues. If the woman on the other end of the phone, said "I'm Sorry, we are understaffed, and closed early to ensure cleaning got done etc" I would've been okay with that.

Read moreMy family ordered here for the first time in years. What a huge mistake. They don't update the online tracking app to let you know that it's almost ready(like dominos and Pizza Hut do). When we got it We were surprised by how bad it was, Raw dough even though we chose well done, the way it's constructed was awful they put the toppings under the cheese so it WILL NOT stay on and didn't cook right, no chance of crispy toppings. I have never gotten a pizza that was so bad that the entire thing went to the garbage only missing 3 bites. The bread sticks were really dense and a tad underdone, they were swimming in some kind of butter. My partner had to call them 3x before someone answered, when they did it was some rude lady that was interrupting him and being very ignorant, she started cursing and hung up- I wish it was face to face🙃. Then he called back and spoke to another person who was professional and offered us a full refund, which was very nice because I know she didn't have too. I wish we would have not had the entire experience. I hope this was a one off but the reviews suggest this...
