Rizz's — Restaurant in Uniontown

My husband and I had tickets to a show at the State Thester yesterday. We tried to get into 3 restaurants nearby but without a reservation had no luck, so we decided to come here. Upon entering you have no idea where to go or what to do. We stood waiting for a bit then walked to the back and found an empty table a server walking by told us was okay to sit. We waited there for almost 20 minutes and finally a flustered gentleman came. He took our drink order, brought us some menu’s, then came back quickly with our drinks and we placed our order. Looking around, the place was VERY busy, but there were only 2 servers. 40 minutes later I flagged the man down and asked if our appetizer was coming. We hadn’t got our salads yet either. I was starting to get nervous because by this time, we had been there almost an hour. We finally got our appetizer, then 55 minutes after we ordered we got our meals and salads at the same time. We didn’t even have time to take a bite and had to box everything up right away and go to make it to our show on time. While paying, the lady at the register profusely apologized and took the appetizer off the bill. (Which is the reason for any stars) She blamed all of it on our “new server” and asked that we give them another chance. Well I’m here to say that the server was just a small part of the problem. I blame this on poor management. A good manager would never let this happen and if they knew he was new, should have given him more training, a smaller section and had the place staffed correctly for a busy Saturday night. It’s hard to say how the food was considering we ate at many hours later but from what I can tell is mediocre at best. I live an hour away and will plan better, if and when we come to another show. So my wife and I decided to give Rizz's a try because of our friends ,well let me say its a cute little place! It has a Bar with seating, a few High Tables in front near the bar and then like 8 tables in the back! It was seat yourself so we like to sit as far away from the door as possible because my wife gets cold!! So we went at our Favorite time to go to a restaurant ,between 1-4pm, we sit down with menu's immediately and ordered drinks. They have a Great Menu, it's not huge but I think its perfect with everything that most people would want, they have Pizza, Burgers, Wings, Pasta, Steaks and Sandwiches, what else would you want! My Wife ordered her Favorite, a Fish Sandwich with Fries & I ordered JK's My Hero sandwich, now let me tell you, it has everything I love on a sandwich, Capicola,Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone Cheese, LTO, Banana Peppers and Hot Pepper Relish on a Crusty Roll and it was an 8 out of 10 on my Sandwich List! This was our first visit and as the old saying goes "you only get one chance to make a first impression" Y'all failed miserably!! It took 20 minutes after getting seating to have someone come acknowledge us, multiple staff had been back clearing tables looked at us and walked away(I was ready to leave long before that) it was then another 20 minutes before getting our food. The food was mediocre at beat but it was better than the service. Now as a Carolina gal the icing on the cake was all the dook memorabilia by the door (had I seen that walking in we would not have stayed) it's a rivalry that runs deep and the blues don't mix!!
