So. I love Jioios Pizza- HANDS DOWN BEST EVER PIZZA. But their service is terrible. And on My Facebook page I have a ton of people who have commented with same experiences and are never returning due to their awful way of handling it. Go to Falbos- same kind of pizza- BETTER SERVICE ALL THE WAY! Someone on my page also mentioned- Why do they have a sign in case there are mistakes? They make that many mistakes there has to be a sign outlining the process to rectify it?
Last 2 trips there I have received the wrong order. I order a Party Size Pepperoni Pizza. Plain is $24 & toppings $4.50 each= approx 30 with tax. I was told it was a 1 hour wait for pickup. No bigs. I drive to Jioios. Wait in line to get my order, tip the order taker 20% on a 34.40 check FOR TAKE OUT. I drive the whole way home and open pizza and there is pepperoni and mushrooms on it. This isn't what I ordered.
I call in and was asked if I would like to order another pizza. Ummm what? No. I want you to replace it. Sally gets on phone. Asks if I want a new one- yes I do. Okay that will be atleast a 45 minute wait. Uhhh excuse me? You mess up my pizza, ask me to pay for another one, and when I say no you need to replace it- you tell me I have to wait 45 minutes for a mistake YOU MADE? Whatever- I ask her if I can feed the pizza to the hungry kids I have waiting for dinner. She says yes that's fine. Okay then- at this point we are in an agreement.
I go to pick up pizza and she is holding her arms around the pizza box, and says where is the wrong pizza at? Uh what? I specifically asked you if we could have it since you were making us wait 45 minutes for the one we should have received in the first place. She then says, "well I didn't think you would eat all of it!" Okay, we didn't. But I wasn't about to march through the door with a half eaten $34.40 pizza for you to throw in the trash after you charged me for toppings I didnt order, made me wait 45 more minutes, wasted an hour of my night driving to and from Jioios, tipped you for the amount on the wrong check and paid for the gas to do so- NOT TO MENTION YOU TOLD US TO EAT IT AND DID NOT TELL ME YOU WANTED A HALF EATEN PIZZA BACK. She then points to the sign behind her- well the sign says you have to bring it back. Lets see now. My $30 pizza cost me $10 more due to toppings charge and tip, gas is 2.89 a gallon, my time is priceless, I'm starving, I'm tired, and I am not a freaking mind reader WHO CAN SEE A SIGN FROM 10 MILES AWAY!
They truly dropped the ball in the customer service department. I understand ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. THATS FINE. But let me give ya a quick lesson on customer service and what should have happened-
#1 APOLOGIZE #2 TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY #3 MAKE IT RIGHT #4 AND DO IT QUICKLY (NOT 45 MINUTES) #5 REFUND THE DIFFERENCE SO THE CUSTOMER IS CHARGED FOR WHAT THEY ORDERED #6 LET THAT CUSTOMER KEEP THE FOOD THAT IS TRASH TO YOU- AFTER ALL THEY HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS TO EAT DINNER AND PAID FOR THE COST OF BOTH PIZZAS AND GAS AND YOU STILL MADE A SIGNIFICANT PROFIT. #7 BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO MAKE IT RIGHT SO THEY RETURN.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LOSING CUSTOMERS BY NOT HANDLING THESE SITUATIONS APPROPRIATELY? I WANTED NOTHING FREE FROM YOU. I WANTED CHARGED AND GIVEN WHAT I ORDERED IN A TIMELY MANNER. AND SINCE YOU COULD NOT PROVIDE EITHER OF THOSE SERVICES TO ME- I WANTED TO FEED THE HUNGRY CHILDREN AT THE VERY LEAST.
SO YOUR MISTAKE COST YOU NOTHING IN MONETARY VALUE. HOWEVER, YOUR TERRIBLE WAY OF HANDLING THE SITUATION AND MISSING APOLOGY NOT ONLY COST YOU MY FUTURE BUSINESS, BUT THE HOUSE FULL OF FRIEND'S AND FAMILY'S BUSINESS AND ANYONE ELSE WHO READS THIS.

Read moreThis was our favorite pizza growing up.After Bud died we had it and it wasn’t as good. I said I would not order again until today decided to try it again. I order my pizza online and it came up as DoorDash. Before I placed the order I called them ask them why it was going through DoorDash. They lady said this only way you can order online. I placed the order and went to pick it up, it was wrong. I went back in and they blamed it on DoorDash. It wasn’t right so I said refund my money and they said that they can’t and you need to contact DoorDash. The sign stated if you are not satisfied we will replaced it or refund money. I told them can they remake it. They said it would take about 40-45 minutes more. I told put the toppings on what was missing. They put the toppings on it and said they have to charge my card for the toppings. I was never told until afterwards, which only they did is put those on. They were never cooked with the pizza. The lady was really rude through this whole process. When I was leaving that I said I might never be back. She told me good. She told me not to come back. This lady probably was the manager needs to be fired! Her attitude was not acceptable! They all were rude and trying to say it wasn’t their fault. They never care!! When I got home, the pizza wasn’t even cut. The pizza was cold. The pizza wasn’t even done. It was really doughy. Had hardly no sauce. I always eat at the carbon Jioio’s and never had attitude or issues with them. The food is so much different and very delicious. Neither to say but you won’t be getting my business anymore in Latrobe. The food was horrible and the service was horrible…I would not recommend this...
Read moreLet's face it, over the years, everything about Jioio's has gone downhill. After several times experiencing bad service and disappointing food, I avoided this place for a long time. Then on Saturday February 8th, I decided to give them one more chance. I ordered 2 chicken parm dinners, added mushrooms to both (because it used to come w mushrooms and that's how we like it), complete with the 2 side salads and bread that the dinners come with. When I went to pick up my order, I was greeted by a very friendly young man who quickly retrieved my order. When I saw my order packed into a box, I thought he had been mistaken. Last time I got this exact order, it came stuffed into a plastic bag with absolutely no care taken and both dinners leaked making a huge mess. He confirmed this was my order. Came to $41, which isn't bad for two complete meals. I tipped and was on my way. When I got home, I was shocked at the care that was taken with my order. Everything perfectly packaged and looked amazing. The salads were very nice and we're generously packed. They even remembered my extra croutons (best in town!). The dinners themselves were beautiful and delicious. We were also given a generous potion of bread and butter.
All in all, a terrific experience! I appreciate this so much. I've worked in restaurants for years and I know effort and excellent customer service when I see it and that's exactly what Jioio's in Latrobe delivered! I don't leave many reviews but I thought they deserved one. So, thank you, Jioio's staff. You've earned yourself a return customer and I hope that my review will bring others...
