Olive Grill Halal — Restaurant in University City

I just had a WONDERFUL experience at Olive Grill. I've purchased delicious Gyro's (big enough to share) from this location. Previously, I received good service and tasty fresh Gyro's. Today was special because I met one of the family (it's a family owned business) named Susan. She definitely made my visit worth it. She gave excellent, kind, and concerned customer service. She inquired about my previous visits. She wanted to know about the customer service I received and introduced me to things I'd overlooked on their menu. I was always a bit curious about Chicken Shawarma. After she described it to me, I was all in. She also let me know that the sauces, seasonings, and breading are all house-made. HOLY SMOKES! This place is a hidden gem. I’ve lived in UCity 8 years and am just now trying this place!? How!?? As an American adopted into a blended family and raised by Palestinian Arabs I have to say that this is the best mix up of Middle East meets Mid West soul food. Their sauces are wildly delicious and the food is perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back! Me and my girlfriend shared the chicken shawarma sandwich arabi and I had the mixed plate with chicken and gyro meet over rice. I wish I took a pic of mine before eating it. I couldn’t resist. I haven't always had a good experience when visiting a neighborhood grill and for years avoided them but recently I decided to give this place a try and babbbbbeee, it puts all of those places to shame!

The place is clean, I've been greeted and treated with respect. Actually they've treated me like a friend since the second order 🫶 the food is so good! Like my uncle would say "you put your foot in this" its simple👏 ingredients 👏done👏 right 👏
