Extremely Disappointing Experience
I've been a Papa John's customer for a long time, but unfortunately, my recent experience has led me to close my account and take my business elsewhere.
I placed an order online on a Monday evening, which shouldn't be a particularly busy time. The app quoted a 35-minute delivery time, but after that time passed with no updates, I saw that my order had been picked up by a DoorDash driver. The delivery took much longer than expected, with the driver appearing to make other stops or take a break. When I finally received my pizza, it was cold and made incorrectly, missing half the toppings I had ordered.
I called the store to express my disappointment and was informed they were understaffed. While I understand that staffing issues can happen, the lack of communication about potential delays was frustrating. I also attempted to discuss the incorrect order, but unfortunately, the conversation became heated, and I apologize for any inappropriate language I used.
Ultimately, the pizza was cold, incorrect, and arrived far later than promised. The overall experience was unacceptable, especially considering the price. I've found that other pizza places offer better quality and service for the same cost.

Read moreI placed an order for carryout on the website at approximately 7:20pm and my pick up time was supposed to be between 7:53pm and 8:03pm. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:05pm and the order was nowhere near ready they said it was order 151 and they were in 143, however I saw whole pizzas faced down on the floor outside the oven that no one bothered to clean up and asked for my money back. Then later in the evening my roommate placed an order and it was set to be ready 25 minutes before they closed at 1am and we received notification that the order was ready and arrived 20 minutes before the store was supposed to close and all the lights were on and our pizzas were on the shelf but the door was locked and no one would answer the phone. This location used to have an amazing staff and I've done business with them for years. The last 3-4 times I've gotten food delivered, I received emails saying sorry this delivery wasn't what you expected seconds after it was dropped off, had gotten food poisoning all 3 of those times, yet, I still decided to give them another chance but after their performance today, should I even consider giving them another chance. Read moreBeen a customer for years. I've hit a few bumps in the road as far as customer service, but last night's ignorance took the cake. Ordered a pan pizza, got a regular medium (even the sauce!). Called about it, and was met with foul attitude. Went to pick it up, and got even more sass. I even took pics to prove the pizzas were different.
Update 4 years later: accidentally ordered a pizza to my old address, immediately called to redirect it, I was assured they’d updated it, but I never actually received it. Dropped by the old house & saw the pizza had been strewn all across my porch. First “manager” I spoke with, refused to refund my money. Second mincy manager (probably the same sassy fella from the pan pizza debacle) pretended he couldn’t find the order, got smart with me, but finally refunded my money. I waited until the transaction was completed to delete the app entirely. No business transaction should invoke actual anger, but that’s exactly how rude and incompetent this...
