If you love Eggplant Parmesan, then this is the place! Let me tell you the eggplant was lightly breaded. The balance of cheese was enough for flavor, AND THEN THE MARINIARA. OMG! It was thick with chucks of crushed tomato, well-seasoned and you could tell it was homemade. You would want some plain Italian bread to just dip into it and eat it just like that. It was the best eggplant I have ever had. So much so, I came back the next day for another. I will continue to come back to order it again and bring home a pizza. I have been searching for a good Eggplant Parmesan for years. Some restaurants tend to overcoat the eggplant with a thick bread coating, others add so much cheese that is all you have on the fork, or the sauce is nothing to get excited over. I took a chance and went to Fratello’s Pizza & Pasta based on another’s Yelp comment the recipe came from the owner’s mother. I had to go and they did NOT disappoint. Tony, greeted me like family with a sincere concern that I was taken care of as I explained it was my first visit. Excellent service and high quality food clearly made with quality ingredients, don’t get me started on the pizza it’s the best I’ve had. Quick and friendly service means I’m able to come here on my lunch, eat, and still have time to walk off my meal; you can tell everyone who comes here is a returning customer, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the owner clearly is passionate about his craft, the proof is in the food. The one single time my pizza was burnt he personally presented it to me and let me know he’d make a new one right away and let me have the unburnt slices to quell my hunger temporarily, now that’s service. Pizza crust is very good. I ordered a chicken Parm sandwich that was ok . Tasted like I would expect from any pizza place. The one thing that really upset me was I ordered a 18inch pizza and asked for table bacon as one of the toppings. To my disappointment they use FAKE bacon bits for this topping . To me fake table bacon bits are disgusting. I expected more on a $45 dollar large pizza. Many better options. I'm not opposed to an expensive pizza. I just think it should be worth it. Fresh ingredients. Nothing fake For what it matters. .
