This restaurant catered our Church's 50th anniversary gala last night and they obviously have never handled a gala event.
With 400 people in attendance, including our bishops, there were a handful of servers... I only saw 3. The servers didn't know what they were doing. They looked like college kids pulled out of bed. They wandered around with water pitchers during/after the salad course without removing plates. They served 2 people at a time - at random - not even by table.
We waited over 2 hours for the main course. (We ate the prepackaged, themed desserts on the table provided by the parish.) At that point, around 20 parishioners went to the kitchen and began serving tables. My husband got our plates. Even with that help, some tables didn't eat for another 45 minutes.
The food was mediocre at best, resembling school cafeterĂa food from the 80's... sauces smothering overcooked food without flavor.
Parishioners ended up making the coffee and we grabbed some like we do on Sundays.
All of the preparations done by our parish volunteers were excellent: decor, festivities, raffle. We made the best of it, but our table was considering going to In-n-Out. Others left and went to Spaggi's.
Our parish puts on great dinners with excellent food and serving by our teens, or buffet-style. We all wanted a caterer to take care of us so parishioners wouldn't have to be in the kitchen.
This 50th anniversary was an event that we will not experience again in our lifetime. Panzarello's subpar service and food ruined it. Not only will we never eat at their restaurant, we will urge our Pastor to...
Read morePanzarelloâs Restaurant is a great choice for a large group meal. This location, Baseline and Mountain, in Upland was my choice for my husbandâs Celebration of Life luncheon. James, the Manager, was very helpful and made it easy for me to plan this luncheon. After I made the menu choices, and selected the date and time, James took care of the details - and those choices were executed exactly as we discussed. The food was a big hit with my family and friends. The room set-up was âspot-onâ, Service was great throughout the luncheon. All the menu choices tasted delicious! We had the meal âbuffetâ style so all the guests could enjoy all the dishes which included chicken enchiladas, beef fajitas, spinach-mushroom enchiladas, beans and rice, garden salad, plus salsa and chips. For dessert we had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Many guests commented that they enjoyed all of their menu choices. Iâm very thankful that Panzarelloâs offers such a wonderful eating destination in this geographic area. Having private use of our luncheon area provided the perfect setting and a wonderful meal; the planning, the execution of details, the service, and the meal itself were provided just...
Read moreSaw this place one day and thought it was an interesting concept. Mexican and Italian food fusion. Then I noticed they had an offer on Groupon so I decided to try it. The only con I have is that the hours on Google are not accurate as I went twice and they were closed although according to Google they should have been open. But third time is the charm. I decided to try one of their specialties the Italian enchiladas. When I ordered they informed me they were out of the white sauce, which is the one I wanted to try due to the reviews but I settled for the red sauce. We'll I'm glad because it was definitely amazing. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The sides I ordered were the Mac and cheese which was great and the mashed potatoes which were good enough. Now I can't wait to try the white sauce enchiladas and the other things on their menu. Also inside is huge. I'm not sure why it always looks empty, maybe people don't know about this place but I'll...
