This place used to be a great business with great food. I wish I could tell you whether their food is still great but I can’t because I can never get an order in. They have a menu item ‘beef with scallions’. It is a great dish. The last four times I have called to order, they told me they can’t make the dish because they don’t have scallions. Two of the times, I ordered something else. The last two times I refused to order something else from them out of principal because they never have what I am trying to order. How do you run a restaurant and have an item on the menus that you don’t stock the main ingredient. The owner told me, ‘well, we can’t control our inventory’. I was shocked. How do you not control your own inventory. There is not some worldwide shortage on scallions. The fact is that they are not stocking what they need to make the dishes they advertise and when I suggested that she send someone to the store and buy some since there is a store right up the street, she had the nerve to say ‘we won’t just send someone to the store for you!’ She is right, she shouldn’t send someone for me personally but she is also wrong because knowing that item is on the menu she should have that key ingredient in stock for anyone that orders it… not just for me. Everytime I order from this place it is over $60 dollars and sometimes over $80. And, I have even suffered through the fact that they also no longer deliver. If they still delivered I would actually be ordering more than twice a month. Think about it. They don’t deliver so we don’t buy from them weekly or two times a week like we used to and now they don’t stock a key ingredient to the one menu item that I particularly like, so they are losing hundreds and dollars in revenue per month simply due to poor management. What a waste. Seriously. If they don’t want to be in business then they should just close their doors and get out of business. I f they keep going the way they are going then o don’t see them remaining in business much longer. I know I won’t be ordering from...
Read moreFrom 6 Years Ago: I tried to order a large mixed soup to my work which is less than a mile from their store. They refused delivery saying that my order wasn't large enough and it needed to be a minimum order of $12. Well, they charge for delivery and don't advertise that there is a minimum order for delivery. I could pay a cab to pick me up take me there and return for less than $12 plus the cost of the soup. They lost me as a customer and before now, I would never even consider another place to order Chinese food from. Here is a tip...if you advertise delivery and charge for delivery then it is bad customer service to deny that delivery because a person didn't order enough, and it is false advertising if you are not saying in your add that a minimum order is required for delivery. Additionally, If there is a minimum order required for delivery then you shouldn't be charging for it. UPDATED: 2023 - I did go back and try them out because I do like their food. They no longer offer delivery at all, and are a little over COVID-phobic (but I don't know if they have health issues that may be detrimental to them if they get it...so that is their business.) The portion sizes are inconsistent...sometimes its a full container...sometimes it's a half full container. The free stuff offered for ordering over a certain amount, is not offered consistently (not sure if that is because the offers only run at certain times or they expect people to remind them - I typically don't ask for free stuff and it feels that way when you have to remind the person giving it about it). They also often do not have items...
Read moreI only gave this a 4 star because I haven't tried many things on the menu, which has offerings enough to satisfy just about anybody. BUT what I HAVE tried was 5 star, with the exception of the fried egg rolls, which were fried too hard for my taste and the filling was skimpy. You can add extra shrimp to your shrimp lo mein, shrimp fried rice, etc. orders for a reasonable increase and you can specify that something be fried lightly or hard or just accept it how its normally cooked and make future adjustments based on that. They seem to be popular so I'd think the turnover in foodstuffs is good and they don't get a chance to sit around long enough to spoil. The workers/owners are pleasant and accommodating. I'd recommend them...
