So first off the teenagers that work there are lovely wonderful people. I want to make that very clear. They went above and beyond to do everything they could to make picking a blizzard cake special for my daughters 10th birthday. We go and pick it up and I notice it says happy 6th birthday and you can see the dash guide lines on the edible print out. Here is where I take huge issue. We went back in and there were 3 young gentleman who called the owner right away. None of them make the cakes not their fault. Remember no hate towards these teens they did so well for such a tough situation. The owner right out of the gate blamed the girls handwriting taking no responsibility as an adult or business person. I saw the sheet both days you could tell there was a 1 and a 0. Most certainly not just a single number 6. The boys were really trying not to throw the owner under the bus so they were going i guess we see it (before i knew about the other people cake problem). If she was unsure they could have called me or the girl who took the order before continuing to print the edible image. Apparently another cake went wrong and that rolled into ours going wrong. The owner told the boys to gel over it which we all knew was not going to look great. The one kid was so sweet he did most of it because he had the neatest handwriting and we were now already late for dinner which people drove hours to get to. I decorate cakes and my partner can too but on a 50 dollar cake you shouldn't have to step in and the best way to fix it the owner didn't go for which would have been removing the edge, laying down white, writing in gel, then the border. It would've been more time too. My problem really is the owner passed the blame, didn't attempt to try and come help, didn't offer anything to make it right, and to top it all off was supposed to call me today and did not. Turning 10 is a big deal and I am disabled cakes harder to do now so we decided it would be ok to get a cake this year decorated instead of me doing it. I doubt that my daughter will be okay with that ever again. We saved to be able to do this and the owners attitude kills me. We certainly don't have extra like that. Those teens were champions of trying to make it right for my daughter and give her the best they could with what they were allowed. They deserved more than being blamed and left to deal with it on their own. Even after we covered it with gel you could tell there was a mistake. The sides got dinged up from going in and out. We went from such a good experience to a really bad one. I'm not unreasonable or a Karen I didn't yell but I am beyond mad at this point. I've managed stores and had to run in on a day off, or called right the next day to make it right. Slapping gel over the mistake and keeping your full priced perfect cake money, plus not even personally apologizing in a phone call the literal least that could have been done because she made the...
Read moreThis is an okay Dairy Queen location. The ice cream is to standard but it's so severely understaffed here. I felt so bad for the poor guy behind the counter. Only one working there and a huge line developed right after I came in. I got two blizzards and they were made perfectly. Its a super small walk-in only Dairy Queen with two tables inside and a few outside. The place could be cleaner, but the floors weren't sticky or anything. If you decide to come here, please have patience for the overworked and underpaid employees and please...
