UPDATE 08/13/23 I finally got a response and they sent me a gift certificate to give them another try. So the plates and food have not been cold, but it’s been warm out both times I’ve gone and I suspect the issue with the ice cold plates and cold food is related to the outside temps and where the plates are stored. But I won’t know for certain until it’s cold again. Both times I’ve tried them again, the food has been good and matched its menu description. The cranberry chicken sausage is particularly tasty. I’m still not a fan of the tiny coffee cups and HUGE plates. They need to reverse those things. The wait staff does their best to keep my tiny cup refilled but if it’s very busy it’s hard to do. Also not crazy about the thin syrups that are more like coffee syrups but I’m told they’re housemade. Different strokes I guess. Today our waitress was Lisa, and she was so friendly and made sure to take care of our every need. I even watched her go over to the cooks to ask if she could get them coffee. Give Lisa a raise! She’s a gem!!!! We were seated right next to the open kitchen so it was a bit noisy but I actually enjoyed listening to the cooks’ banter. It seems everyone was happy with their work today LOL! Overall the experience has improved.
UPDATE 03/07/23 They responded below to my review and asked me to contact them so I did on 2/26/23. So far … the response is crickets. 🤷♀️
I really wanted to love it. The menu sounds amazing. Unfortunately the actual food falls flat. The first time I went it was a busy Saturday. I asked about the specials that are mentioned and my server had no idea what I was talking about. But the place is new and she’s also probably new. I ordered the Waffle Frolic which is a sampler with each quarter of the waffle with a different topping. You get two sweet and two savory. The visual presentation is gorgeous. But the waffle was cold. I do t mean not hot. I mean cold. I thought maybe they take their time dressing up the individual quarters and by the time they serve it it got cold. But cold sausage gravy is kinda yuck! Also the gingerbread latte wasn’t very well blended. All the gingerbread syrup was at the bottom so halfway through it was sickening sweet and I couldn’t finish it. So I gave them a second chance. This time I was actually given a little card with the monthly featured waffle so I ordered that. It was described as a red velvet waffle with raspberries and cinnamon inside the waffle topped with raspberries, vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, whipped cream and raspberry reduction. Again, the visual presentation was gorgeous. But this time I noticed when I slid the plate in front of me, the plate was cold. As if it had been stored in the refrigerator. Not a good idea to put a waffle on a cold plate. My waffle was cold. It was a beautiful red velvet color but the flavor was just …. Waffle flavor. There was no taste of raspberries or cinnamon. And did I mention it was cold? One might think that was because it was served with ice cream, but no. My dining companions who ordered a plain waffle were also served chilled plates and cold waffles. Like as in, butter wouldn’t melt on it. I took a look and it appears they have no heat lamps in their waiting shelf but we were the only ones there first thing in the morning so our waffles weren’t sitting. Save your money. The waffles...

Recently, I had the delightful opportunity to dine at Waffles InCafinated, an eatery that has successfully transformed the simple waffle into a culinary masterpiece. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary, and I am thrilled to share my impressions of this gastronomic haven.
Upon entering Waffles InCafinated, I was immediately enveloped by a warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff was congenial and attentive, creating an atmosphere of homely comfort. The decor was endearing and snug, with a dash of whimsy that perfectly complemented the playful nature of their menu.
The menu is a veritable paradise for waffle enthusiasts. However, even if you're not typically a "waffle person" like my buddy that had never been, there's a high probability you'll discover something to adore here. The assortment is commendable, offering a range of sweet and savory options to cater to diverse palates.
I chose the Bananas Foster, a lavish creation that was as tantalizing to the taste buds as it was to the eyes. The waffle was impeccably prepared - crunchy on the exterior, soft on the interior. The bananas and cashews were caramelized to perfection, their sweetness beautifully counterbalanced by the rich, creamy ice cream. Each mouthful was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, making it a truly indulgent delight.
However, the real showstopper was their signature coffee. I was advised it was a must-try, and I'm grateful I heeded the advice. The coffee was strong and full-flavored, with a smooth finish that left a lingering desire for more. It was the perfect complement to my waffle, enhancing the overall dining experience.
My friend, who isn't typically a fan of waffles, decided to venture with their Waffle Frolic, which included two different kinds of waffles - two savory and two sweet. Much to our astonishment, he was enamored! Each waffle had its unique flavor profile, from the classic buttermilk to the more adventurous options. It was a testament to the culinary prowess and creativity of the chefs at Waffles InCafinated, who have managed to convert a non-waffle enthusiast.
In conclusion, Waffles InCafinated is an essential visit for anyone seeking a unique and gratifying dining experience. Whether you're a waffle connoisseur or just someone looking for a delectable meal, this place has something to offer everyone. The food is exceptional, the service is top-tier, and the atmosphere is inviting. I eagerly anticipate my return to further explore their...
Read moreWhile they’ve been in Upper St. Clair for a while, and as a chain, have six outposts now, we’ve never been to one of these locations, so we drove in on a weekday. At first, we were not even sure it was open as there were no cars in the parking lot! The lights were on though, so we parked and walked in. Turns out that they only open at 8 AM and we got there at 8:02, so we were the first ones there. I find that somewhat strange for a breakfast and lunch place, as I would have expected to have opened earlier, but what do I know?
The menu is quite comprehensive with lots of options and variety of breakfast and brunch offerings. Check out both sides of the menu! On the coffee side, they offer one coffee, but do have an espresso machine so you can get all kinds of espresso drinks, if you so desire. We tried their regular coffee and it come in a small 4 Ounce mug – which they did refill upon request.
For our first time, we selected the Breakfast Magic waffle, and the Country Mile. The waffle comes with green onions, bacon crumbles, and cheddar cheese crumbles and an egg on top. The menu states the batter also contains the green onions, bacon and cheese, but we did not detect them. A plop of sour cream accompanies this. The waffle was fluffy enough, but we felt it was pretty ordinary in flavor.
The Country mile is a mushroom cheese omelet folded on top of a sausage patty which is then placed between two slices of Italian bread. It is supposed to have a spicy Mayo as well. What we got tasted like Russian dressing. Ordinarily, it comes with a side of potato chips, but we asked for a swap to their home fries, which they did – for an upcharge. Unfortunately, the potatoes were super salty! I took a closeup picture of the and attached it, you can see the salt crystals!
I gave this place a four-star rating because the food was decent – although super salty – and the selection is large. Getting in and out of their parking lot in the morning can only be done from one direction which is a hassle. The staff was incredibly nice (which increased the rating!) but overall, it...
