This used to be a pretty good place to eat, but after our last visit we won't be going there again. We arrived there about 5:20 pm. Although the dining area had plenty of available tables and it didn't seem overly crowded we were told we'd probably have a 25 minute wait. The reason given was that "the kitchen is backed up". There were no seats in the lobby area to sit and no available seats at the bar so we stood and waited. After about 15 minutes two seats opened up at the bar. We sat down and waited to be served. There were two bartenders and twice one walked up to the end where we were seated but never approached us. After maybe another 15 minutes a couple walked in and stood at the bar next to where we were seated. They were almost immediately served. A few minutes later we were asked if we'd like a drink. We were finally taken to a booth in a side room around 6:30 pm The waitress who seated us, handed us a menu and observe that we already had drinks. She said that she'd be back to take our order. So we looked at the menu and then waited and waited and waited. I heard the people at the only other occupied booth talking about college and sports etc.and assumed they were talking to a family member or friend...only to turn around and realize that they'd been talking with our waitress for the last 15 minutes or do. I gave the woman a look and she told the waitress "oh.. you should probably go take care of your other customers. She asked for our orders. My husband ordered steamed clams as an appetizer and whiskey glazed sirloin steak $23 (medium rare) with a side of pasta. I asked her if the prime rib sandwich $16.99 was rare (I mean, rare is how it should be cooked... RIGHT?).. She replied that she thought it was well done but that she'd check. She came back after another wait to tell me that it was indeed well done. So,.. I ordered the same entree as my husband but done rare with a baked potato and sauteed green beans. My husbands clams were finally served around 7:25. He said they were ok but he's had better and one of the clams was rotted (total black mush). We got our meals around 7:45 .. My husbands medium rare was well done and he said the pasta tasted as though it had been soaking in water for hours. My steak was closer to medium rare, my potato under cooked and my green beans overcooked. She had carried my plated on top of my husband's and the bottom and edges of my plate were covered in the sticky whiskey glaze... which then got all over the table my arm and clothing! The waitress didn't check back with us or ask if we needed or wanted anything else. She brought us the bill and we gave her a credit card. She came back and told us that she ran our credit card and it was approved but that they didn't take discover. We gave her a different credit card and finally left there a little after 9:00 pm. You heard that right .. Over three and a half hours to get a meal that was over priced, overcooked and wasn't...
Read moreI’m am very sad my husband took me to have a few drinks and dine in but it wasn’t a good choice of place. We was not even seated down when the bar tender ,not a nice way, she ask me are you okay you don’t look okay and I reply I am okay with a thank you. But that was not the big problem it was went she forgot about us while attending to the rest of the guests that was seating around us at the bar we were waiting for refills for almost 10 minutes and when I finally got her attention she gave me a very nasty response and make us feel very uncomfortable her way of talking to her costume is very rude and unprofessional and loud. I went there to enjoy the afternoon with my husband and have a few drinks and food but I will never forget what happened to me on September 21th before 6:21 pm check #was 139 Paid at 7:15pm BAR2#1-A . It’s not professional or business like . To have people like that bar tender rules your business for you. Not very nice and she people go there to have a few drinks or dine in and whatever is going on on their lives isn’t anyone business. And she is very noisy and she should mind her business as doing her work and making sure that all customers are happy not making them feel uncomfortable by asking personal questions and screaming at them when a customer has been put on waiting time for a drink...
Read moreWe have been coming to this place for years and then stopped because it was going down hill. Was on a mini-vacation with two boys this past weekend and figured we would try this place again since it was late and close to where we were staying. The boys both ordered the chicken and chips....which is chicken fingers and french fries. I almost fell out of my seat when I saw that chicken finders and fries cost a whopping $17 EACH. Yes....$17. I had the prime rib and it was a solid okay...nothing to write home about...and oddly enough, that cost $17.99. Sunday came along and the diner down the street was packed....so we came here again for the breakfast buffet. $11.99 covered the food but if you wanted juice or something to drink it cost more. We sat down and went up to the buffet for our food. Typical buffet. What I couldn't stand was the service. I finished my coffee by the time my omlette was ready. I ate all my food and was PARCHED because I had NOTHING to drink. After we finished out meals...and I was so thirstly, we waited for about another 15 minutes for the check. Finally, I did some math in my head, put money on the table and left. I actually stopped at McDonalds on the way back for coffee and OJ. Do yourself a favor and find another place to eat. The food, prices and service just aren't...
