Dockside NY Deli — Restaurant in Urbanna

This place can be a goldmine with just a bit of additional help and organization. Excellent food! Probably some of the best food I’ve eaten in a deli. Here are some suggestions to improve: *all food should be served to table at same time so we can enjoy eating together. *Signs posted to guide customers on ordering, where to find drinks, where to put dishes when leaving, etc *Have tea and water available for self service, utensils for food, and move beverage cooler next to order counter. Maybe give chips to customers when ordering sandwiches so they can eat while waiting for food. more tables for seating. Really enjoyed our Reuben and Tuna melt. Can’t wait to try more...

Although the food was good, this visit was a dissapointment on many levels. Don't plan to dine in. Inside there are a few uncomfortable high top tables and outside some tables with no umbrellas on the only waterfront dining in Urbanna. The coffee is excellent, but is served in paper cups. If you are offered mustard, be aware that $1.99 will be added to your bill. A mysterious charge of $1.50 also showed up. To top it off my debit card got dinged twice. Wanted to celebrate the tolls coming off the Coleman Bridge crossing the York River. Left Newport News headed for Urbana. Found this spot still celebrating their Grand Opening. Had a chicken salad sandwich on an everything bagel. These folks are proud of their ingredients. A NY bagel with European mayo in the chicken salad.
