5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Uvalde!
I absolutely love going to Oasis Outback in Uvalde! The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped into a rustic country vacation — not a small-town store, but an experience.
The boutique is my absolute favorite! It’s vibrant, beautifully curated, and packed with the most darling and unique items — from jewelry, dresses, sandals, scarves, and handbags, to bedazzled drinkware, aprons, measuring cups, and the cutest trinkets and home décor.
Whoever does the buying for this place deserves major praise — everything is so tasteful, top-notch, and artisan.
I especially love all of the Christian décor, devotionals, crosses, and inspirational pieces. You could spend hours just browsing the boutique and still want one of everything!
But it doesn’t stop there — there’s an entire section for hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear, with everything from guns, ammo, archery equipment, and Yetis to caps, sunglasses, and rugged apparel. The men (and women who love the outdoors) will have a field day here!
They also have a cozy country café with delicious homestyle food and a fresh salad bar with a soup of the day — everything I’ve tried has been scrumptious. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, with that genuine Southern hospitality that makes you feel right at home.
And don’t skip the checkout area — the leatherwork near the register is absolutely stunning.
Even outside the store, you’ll find fire pits, rocking chairs, deer blinds, and ironworks that are just as impressive.
Every time I visit, I leave with something special. You really can make a whole day out of it. Oasis Outback is a true hidden gem in Uvalde — a must-visit for locals and...
Read moreI gave the oasis a hesitant 4 star, I would rather have gave them a 3.5 if I could have chose that. The store was very nice and big (kinda like a smaller Cabela's / Bass pro) the main reason for not giving them a solid 4 or even possibly a 5 star. Was simply do to the lack of hunting camo options and hunting pack options, for being such a big sports store for outdoor enthusiasts and specializing in hunting (both archery and rifle) they had one major brand of camo Sitka, which in my opinion has just recently came out with decent pattern that actually works for hunting out west. Sitka is extremely over priced for what you get, there is so much better camo pattern options out there for the same price or just under that price. And for hunting packs they carried two brands and only one true major brand with a good warranty which is Kings, they did have Allen packs, but they aren't really that good of a pack for the price. Infact one of the bottom line packs. So with all that being said, them are my reasons for only giving a 4 star but saying I wish I could have had the option to...
Read moreI haven’t looked back at this review in two years, apparently my original post was made mysteriously absent.Hmmm!!! I wonder why? What was it that happened here again, I can’t remember?
but seriously, FYI my original comment was about how R worded this place was for selling a you know what to a you know who. I went into much detail as to why every single red flag should have gone off and any how any reasonable half wit with any semblance of common sense could have easily prevented a certain event from happening but I will spare that here.
I will continually remind you of your responsibility, I’m all for selling boom boom sticks but holy cow! Your negligence should be criminal. Seriously how are you still in business and not in jail?!?!? Also I can only assume that any food service here is as good as the local police force in that it sits around for 90 minutes before they decide to do anything.
Ps. So many Children suffered and died...
