Indoor Dining Review
Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Parking: Free parking lot. Restaurant is BYOB
Stopped in for a quick bite, was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely one of those hidden gems you would not expect in such remote area, when on the way all we saw was trees, then all of sudden the newly developed town center appears, with water park and all the new housing and apartments. Food is amazing but there were minor issues in other categories.
-Restaurant- First thing we noticed when we walked in was how modern and nice the restaurant looks. Everything's clean, neat and organized, tables are very well setup. HOWEVER, the issue we had where we sat, all the way at the back of the dining area, where there's just a little too many tables, because it was so LOUD, we almost had to shout to each other. Next time we would probably pick middle or front seating areas. We couldn't really take our time to enjoy our dinner unfortunately.
-Service- We appreciate the fact that our waiter advised us he was still in training, it is better that way in my opinion so he can essentially under promise and over deliver. Even though he was new, our service experience was pleasant, check up was frequent but not unwelcome (Not enough to keep us from having conversations)
-Food- This is the most surprising part, we did a little research on the restaurant and chef via their website, and saw who the chef trained with prior to this restaurant. The food did not disappoint, they were simply AMAZING!
What we ordered: -Toro Sashimi Appetizer (A MUST HAVE. It is SO FRESH, it melts in your mouth like half melted butter) -BlueFin Roll (Delicious. At any restaurant we go to we typically will order any item with their restaurant name on it, this did not disappoint) -Wellington Roll (Delicious)
We will definitely go again, but next time I would probably ask not to be seated at the back of the...
Read moreBluefin for the win! My husband and I choose this restaurant purely on a whim (Make a reservation) and waited about an hour before being seated. Believe me when I say it was worth the wait! Our host Ari sat us down with our menus and left us to browse it over. This place is small but well maintained. Two waiters came by and gave us water to start, and my husband knocked it over. Before the ice could touch the ground, the host quickly cleaned it up. Her main concerns were our safety and satisfaction (Never have we ever had such a sweet host). What we ordered: 1x Strawberry soda @ $2.50 1x Sprite @ $2.50 1x miso soup @ &2.50 1x Gyoza (vegetable dumplings) @ $8 1x Noname Roll 1 (The roll just melts in your mouth) @ $13 1x SalmonAvo Roll (In which my husband requested cooked) @ $8 1x Chicken teriyaki @ $19 (Order the second portion of rice as it was not enough for the amount of chicken you get) 1x Chirashi Bowl (The tuna was by far the best bite for me, LOVED IT!)@ $28 Side note: The chef sent us a dish to try, and I wish we got the name of it because it was truly amazing! It was a lightly seared fish served with an orange and brown sauce. My husband does not eat raw fish, and he loved every bite of it. He even tried the tuna, and he loved that as well. Overall we spent $83, and if you love sushi, I promise you won't regret this decision. It's the best experience we've had in a long time. Service- warm and friendly Food- To die for Chef- Trust him Environment- A plus
Thank you to the staff and chefs for the...
Read moreFound this via Google while looking for a sushi spot near my hotel on a business trip. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to sit at a four-top so I could catch up on some work after a long flight.
Ordered the Sushi Omakase, some additional nigiri, and a featured roll. Everything tasted very fresh. I am not a soy sauce fan, but did try their house made soy and it was smokey as described. Although the featured roll had Toro in it (which commanded a $20 price tag) it did not taste as good as some $8-12 rolls I have had elsewhere. Burying Toro in a roll with other fish + jalepeños really overshadows the fatty, buttery taste.
The only reason I could not justify the fifth star, is because the sushi bar packed up at 8:35, and my waiter never asked if I wanted to order a second round of food. It's a missed opportunity for them, and also a disappointment for me having not been able to try everything I wanted to off the menu.
From 8:35 to 8:55, I sat without someone coming over to my table to check in - and by that time it was far too late to ask for another plate.
Despite this error, the waiter was otherwise professional and...
