Indoor dining review
This restaurant has been opened for only 1 year+, there are definitely some minor issues in terms of service, but the food is simply cooked with love and care. During our first visit we were a little busy so we did not get the chance to try indoor dining, but after we tried the food, I said to my girlfriend we HAVE to go back and see how the restaurant and service is.
Restaurant: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Parking: Free parking lot
Restaurant The restaurant has a very open feel to it, as if you're sitting in a large dining hall, with very beautiful decorations. But as soon as you walk in you will notice the amazing aroma coming from the kitchen. Where we sat the tables were a little wobbly, but our waitress was able to fix it when asked, apart from that everything's really clean.
Service Our waitress (Chetna) was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Only issue we had was that, there does not seem to be a structure in place. We were told right as we sat down that they were busier than usual due to the local concert nearby, so our food will take a bit longer to come out, which is fine because we've tasted their food and it is well worth the wait. The issue(s) we had was that 1 - we have one too many waiter/waitresses stopping by our table to take orders, and there was clearly some confusion, because the papadum (Which happens to be my girlfriend's favorite) we ordered never arrived, even after we informed 2 waitresses, 1 waiter and 1 food runner after we already got our entrees.
Food What we ordered/received: -Gobi Manchurian (It is so good, we ordered it twice during both visits)
-Veg Biryani (Good. But a little bit on the spicy side, even when asked for mild)
-Paneer Tikka Masala (Very delicious, put this over some rice or Naan, and you will wish you had more room in your stomach)
-Chicken Tandoori (Very fresh and it comes sizzling out of the kitchen, tasty and tender)
Overall this restaurant is an Excellent choice for anyone nearby and are looking for authentic Indian food. It brings me back to the days when I visited India and tried the food there, it is just not the same, but this restaurant takes the win for me, just need to work our some...
Read moreOn Wednesday, April 3rd, my mother and I embarked on a culinary journey at Persis Indian Restaurant, and what a delightful experience it was.
As we stepped inside, the ambiance greeted us warmly, setting the stage for an evening of culinary delights.
For starters, we opted for the chicken manchurian and samosas. The chicken manchurian was a revelation, with tender pieces of chicken bathed in a tantalizing sauce that struck the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. The samosas were crisp and golden, filled with a fragrant blend of spiced potatoes and peas.
For our main course, I chose the butter chicken, while my mother went for the chicken biryani. The butter chicken was a true delight, with succulent pieces of chicken smothered in a velvety, creamy sauce infused with aromatic spices. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving more with every mouthful. My mother's chicken biryani was equally impressive, with fragrant basmati rice layered with tender chicken and an array of spices that danced on the palate with every forkful.
Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. The portions were generous, leaving us feeling fully satisfied yet already planning our next visit.
In conclusion, our dining experience at Persis Indian Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. From the warm ambiance to the exquisite flavors of each dish. We'll certainly be returning to savor more of their delectable offerings in the near future. Highly...
Read moreWe are local to Exton and have been at Persis for years now. So I am sad today I have to write this review for them.
I was there for dinner with my family today. I have noticed every single time we have been there, as soon as we order the Tandoor items, we are told we are backed up and it will take over 50 minutes. They try their best to discourage us to order it. At times we have taken the risk and the dishes come out in decent time. Today again we were told it will take long and we still went ahead and ordered it when the owner came out again to emphasize it will take longer than 50 minutes for a dish forcing us to cancel the order which we did. But in a few minutes saw the same dish brought to the table next to us within decent time. So not sure what the strategy here is to force us to not order the items which we think are the best on their menu. The restaurant wasn't packed today either.
Then came the main course. Cold and poor taste. Nothing was flavorful. Garlic nan was probably either pre-cooked or sitting inside for a long time so it was hard and cold. No serving spoons with the main dishes. Had to ask 3 different people to finally get some spoons.
All in all poor experience for our dinner tonight. They did try to give us a dessert at the end to cover up their mishaps but the damage was already done. The entire staff had noticed that our experience was poor. We still left a decent tip but I don't think we will be returning to this...
