Chocolate Therapy — Restaurant in Uwchlan Township

Liked the taste of their cakes, initially. If you are going for custom designs, this is not the place, at all. Their work is clumsy and not neat. A fondant decor on my cake kept falling off, as it wasn't even dry! Fondant kept breaking and falling from, where a wooden stick used, to support it!!! Not only this, but the fondant colors were bleeding on my cake, making it look nowhere close to was it was suppose to look. It was a messy looking cake.

Very recently I ordered another cake. They ask you to fill details, as if everything would be professional and seamless if customer mentions the requirements clearly. But surprise!! Even after ordering the cake by filling the form, and discussing with the staff, what's possible in terms of design and flavor, there was a lot of back and forth from their side, eventually asking me to change some preferences as they were not possible on the cake I was ordering. Finally, when the pick day arrived, I received a message asking me to delay the pick by an hour, as it wouldn't be ready by then. So I reached an hour late for pick up. It doesn't end here! I was told that they are yet to do the frosting that will need 15 min. So I waited in my car for another 15 min!! Now, listen to this...they warned me that since ir is a Tres Leche cake. There will be a lot of liquid oozing out of the cake (which I could already see too). So I asked, how will this cardboard be able to retain the liquid inside??!! Staff answered saying yes, it will come out, we can't do anything about it! I was like, do mean, it will come out on my car seat??? Can you atleast put the cake in a plastic bag, to avoid mess in car? Answer was we do not have that big a bag!!!! Wow!!

This Saturday I order a cake for my son's baptism I sent a picture of the design I wanted, when I went to pick up my cake the box of the cake was closed and seal with a sticker so when I got home I open it and for my surprise I got a whole different design of what I order, actually there was not design at all only decorated with fruit and the cream I was devastated and really upset because I think the cake is everything in a party especially if is a baptism and 1st birthday party for your little one when you wanted to be memorable. I texted nopur and she did apologize and asked me if I could take the cake back to the store so she could fix it but I had no time I was running out of time. I ask her for 50% back of what I paid when I think I should get a whole refund back and she refuse because she said it was a 10" cake I end up getting $25 back not even 30% of whti paid for it. The last time I ordered a cake I asked for chocolate and last minute she told me they didn't have any chocolate which I think is unacceptable for a bakery like this. Over the past few years since the storefront has opened, we have stopped by the store and picked up multiple delicious cake in cups (our favorites being black forest, and anything mango).

In the last 6 months, I have worked with the bakers to make two custom cakes for two separate occasions and there are so many wonderful things to note about Chocolate Therapy:

1. The professionalism - The team is quick to respond and detailed in their responses. Any vague comments/open ended items were questioned and examples were provided so they knew exactly what I needed and I knew exactly what I was getting.

2. The look - Both of the custom cakes were ABOVE and beyond what I was expecting. They looked amazing and were the exact color schemes that we wanted.

3. Finally, the taste - The cakes were not overly sweet and the textures were perfect. The tart cake was phenomenal and unlike anything we've ever tasted (I've attached a photo of this cake). The softness of the tart worked well with the fillings of the cake.
