Marchwood Tavern — Restaurant in Uwchlan Township

My wife had the ravioli with meatballs. The plate presented well. The food was store bought and was average in flavor. Half of the lunch was taken home so the portion size was to large.

I had the brisket burger which is an eight once burger with brisket meat on top. I was told it was an oversized portion prior to ordering. The brisket was dry and without seasoning. I added salt and asked for some bar-be-qua sauce to give it some moisture. The bun was oversized so I removed the bun and ate the meat as a protein plater. The burger seams store bought as well, without much seasoning.

Service

Jess was the barmaids name and she did a wonderful job. She was prompt and when speaking, spoke clearly and with a good cadence. She dealt with the dry food promptly and spoke with us when not tending to other customers. She made the first time going there a pleasant experience. It is amazing how much an employee effects the experience of a restaurant.

We just "ate" there yesterday, 05.25.2024. We sat outside at around 6:30, looking forward to some drinks and appetizers. We ordered two drinks which were good, a French onion soup, which was salty, and jerk chicken wings and a prime rib entree.

The wings were inedible- about 1/4 of a cup of seasonings was dumped on top of them and they were lying in that blanket of salt. The prime rib was ordered medium, but it looked beige/gray on the outside as if were stewing in water and when cut into, it was rare. It had no flavor, and the texture was very odd- hardly meat-like.

By far, this was the WORST dining experience we ever had.

They took the wings and ribs off the menu. They should have comped the drinks after that, but we paid the $40.00 dollar tab and still tipped the server, as it wasn't her fault the food served was inedible.

Great Restaurant. The Spaghetti and Meatballs (with a side salad) are out of this world. The homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup was also fabulous. The Wait Staff, Cooks, and Bartenders are all top notch. This is a very fun place with very friendly people.

Just stopped by again last Tuesday night for dinner. I had the Jambalaya Soup and a wonderful salad topped with fresh grilled chicken. It was Soooooo tasty. The food here is always great (and reasonably priced). They were also having Bingo Night which was so much fun to watch. The Wait Staff is Top Notch and so friendly and willing to make sure that you have a great experience. 5-Stars for sure!

And Devon was the nicest and kindest Waitress you could ever have. She is truly destined for greatness. She definitely is very wise well beyond her years. The Tavern is very fortunate to have her (and her Sisters no doubt) on their Staff. I wish Devon all...
