Budget Burger — Restaurant in Valley City

Spoke with the manager DAWN today, 12-10-18, about my experience on Saturday, 12-08-18. This writer had a mushroom & swiss burger w/ fries. By the way, french fries were amazing. Other friends had: double cheeseburger w/ fries & a chicken sandwich w/ fries. This writer asked Dawn if she had other reports come in over the weekend about food poisoning. Dawn said, we don't serve raw meat here - just frozen or deep fried. Dawn said, food poisoning normally happens 3-6 hours of digesting the food. It either comes out the front or backside. This writer said yes, we (my friends & I) all have experienced it through the backside since SATURDAY. Dawn started to explain when her husband had food poisoning from the outback steakhouse. I almost hung up the phone, but listened to what she had to say. She said my husband won't forget when he had food poisoning. You probably had eggs for breakfast. I almost said, well thank you for being concerned about my friends & my health, but i said okay. Hung up the phone.

I love going to Valley City and stopping in a Budget Burger. Tonight I ordered a chili Cheese dog. I've had them before and they have been good. Tonight however was not the case, first I didn't get cheese on which is ok, but then I took a bite and the Chili tasted scorched so I brought it back. I said I'll just take a hot dog to replace it. The girl (dark haired) came out with it and she was rude. In her attitude as she handed me the bag. Then she said rudely have a good day, walked off so I said you do not have to be rude. Her back to me she says I'm not being, but she was. I realize I'm one person and it probably doesn't matter, but there is an attitude people should have towards customers and politeness should be one, and tonight was not one of them. I'm and older woman from old school teaching. To tell you I'm sorry and make it right with a grateful heart is something they should...

It's like McDonald's fries and Burger King had a delicious budget friendly restaurant together! I loved that they have a play place for the kids. I came here to bring dinner back home for my family but I will definitely be coming back with my kids to get some wiggles out before the long drive home!

My only gripe is that the waitress was pretty grouchy, and that easily could have been because of being short staffed. But there were only 2 tables of people and she would call out to people to come get their ketchup or their order from the counter rather than just...
