Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Valley City

Italian pizza and U.S. Western ranching might not seem to go together, but in this case they add up to delicious! I've had the buffet and the mini-pizzas and small pizzas (which are big enough to take some home) in Roundup and Stampede combos. I prefer the mini-pizzas; they aren't so "mini" with a thick crust, piled-on topping, and ice cream and coffee included. I could have taken more ice cream and possibly a second coffee, but I left filled up and ready for the rest of a long day.

Whether you prefer Roundup and Stampede depends on whether you like all the many, many ingredients on Stampede. I love both of them. From looking at the menu, these looked like the best two, at least to me - I like a lot of topping on pizza. There were some simpler combos as well.

For those of us who have to watch our sodium, note that Roundup has about half the sodium as Stampede and is just as good!

I would like to give any pizza ranch a better rating. I like what they stand for... but they are slacking. This one has a much smaller buffett than any other pizza ranch I have been to. They were very friendly. We didn't have time to special order a pizza and all the pizza was pretty crappy like it had been there for a couple hours. And nothing new came out while we were there. Chicken was very dark like it was over done but tasted fine. They ALL discontinued our favorite pizza (steak and onion). Called ahead to let them know we were bringing in 17 people in thirty minutes. When we arrived they did not seem to be happy to see us. I asked the manager if the drivers got to eat for free.. He said No. I told him every other Pizza Ranch we have eaten at has given the drivers their meal for free. The salad bar had bad lettuce until we let them know and they changed it out. Also chicken was over cooked. On a positive note I asked if I could get a to-go cup and she was very nice and accommodating.
