Bobby's Place — Restaurant in Valley Park

One of the worst bar experiences I've ever had. I'm from out of town and decide to go outvclose to my hotel. I get there have a seat at a table and it took at least 5 minutes for a server to acknowledge me. I ask for a menu and it takes her another 2-3 minutes to get back to me to only realize she never brought me a menu. When I finally get a menu and order she reccommends a beer only to tell me 5 minutes later after waiting that they don't have that beer. I mean come on! I'm not from here I don't know what typical bars have. When I get my food it is all wrong. Everything I said, no tomatoes, tatertots and a side of blue cheese. They are all wrong. If it wasn't bad enough that it took 20 mins. I get that it's a hockey game and busy but I'm one person. When I finally get the right food I'm out of beer and it takes another 5 minutes to get a fresh beer. I mean come on. I'm done. I'm here for 2 weeks for work was told this was the place to go to and yet this is not a hospitality experience. I hope everyone who considers coming for the first time... reconsider. Arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday night and the place was rockin. The bar area was packed. Didn’t have to wait long for the waitress to see us. I ordered the Famous Bob Cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, tomatoes and pickles and french fries as my side. Our food arrived faster than I expected which was great. My burger and fries were hot so great job on getting food quickly to our table after it was cooked. I had the burger cooked medium well and it was spot on. Cudos to the cook! The burger is big then add tomatoes and pickles and it’s huge. My three tomato slices were big. Thank you! I received 4 large pickle slices. Thank you again! What kept the burger from being 5 stars is the lack of seasoning/flavor otherwise great job. I was surprised the fries arrived hot which was awesome. The fries need seasoning also to elevate the taste and experience. Our server, Nichol, was awesome. She came back twice after we received our food just to check on us. Great service! First time there. Went for lunch on Saturday and they were not too busy but had a number of customers eating outside since it was a nice day. Wife and I ate inside. Like the look of the place, good looking sports bar n grill type of theme with a small stage for entertainmentt. Waitress did a decent job, was friendly, took our order, no complaints there. Heard they had good burgers so thought we would try their cheeseburgers and fries. Unfortunately, both were way over cooked so kinda ruined the meal. We both ordered medium done and both were well past well done to just under burnt. We were starving so we ate it but not a good impression since it was first time there. Not sure I will ever go back. Meramec Jacks is another sports bar near there and they are not as fancy and don't have the crowd this place does but they have great, not good, great wings, burgers and love their quasideas.
