We've ordered food for pickup before but yesterday was the first time we decided to stop in for dinner since we live in the area. I had not been in, so I was curious to see this tiny airport in person. Their little lounge is so cute! I hope one day I get to wait for a private jet there āŗļø As for The Hungry Pilot, we were surprised at how busy it was considering how tucked away it is. They had live music which was great (can't remember the gentleman's name). Upon being seated, the hostess invited us to participate in the Kentucky Derby game they were holding & explained that if the horse we chose, won the race, we would win a $25 gift card to the restaurant. Since the race was due to take place while we were having dinner (& they had it playing on multiple screens throughout) we gave it a go. I ordered my usual: fig jam smash burger & per usual, it was outstanding! My wife had the Hungry Pilot burger which she also enjoyed. I also tried their non-alcoholic cran-apple ginger fizz (I think that's what it's called) & found it surprisingly refreshing. It was raining so no planes were coming or going but we were sat next to the window so I got a chance to look around the outside where they have fire pits & picnic tables. My wife & I decided we will have to return later in the summer & sit out there to see what the vibes are like. Bet they're great with good friends & a drink. By the way, our horse, Final Gambit, came in 4th so no gift card for us but we are also gonna try their Trivia Tuesdays...maybe we'll win...

Noticed a very inviting outdoor space has been added with Adirondack chairs, fire pits and CORNHOLE. Love that! Brought our kids around noon and have to say the bar was bustling with more than one local drunk. Ok. They were somewhat behaved. But not exactly kid friendly. Biggest miss-waitress asked our kids what flavor ice cream they wanted for dessert. Ice cream never came. Check came at the end. Due to the bar situation, we decided not to stay and ask for it. Appetizer was the pierogies-fantastic. I ordered the mushroom quesadilla and a side salad with tomato vinaigrette. Kids got a cheese steak and chicken fingers. Husband got a burger. Our food was all fantastic. The quesadilla with mushrooms Brie, apples? Or pear? and onion jam was sublime. Like nothing Iāve ordered in the area and is craveable and magic and so delicious all bad atmosphere was forgiven. The tomato vinaigrette was new and fresh and changes a side salad to something original. My daughters cheese steak was clearly top quality and to my delight our table had shakers of the most delicious spices. There was Cajun, Old Bay and Jerk. We put it on the fries and that sealed the deal. These folks know good flavor. I had to take a star for the missed ice cream and the rowdiness at the bar in front of the kids. But I would surely come here again and do think this restaurant has a...

Iām going to chalk my Strawberry Salad up to an off-day in the Strawberry Salad Department and give The Hungry Pilot another chance. :) Thanks for making your customerās opinions a priority, Lucas.
This restaurant came highly recommended by friends and reviews Iāve read. I think Iām missing something. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. The food, meh. My Mushroom Bisque was very good, but the Strawberry Salad was awful for the $14 I was charged. It was a $7.00 salad at best. Hardly anything but Romaine lettuce, a few hardly candied walnuts, a few sprinkles of goat cheese, maybe one sliced strawberry and the dressing had absolutely no taste. So...
