I was given a gift card to try this place out. My wife ordered Chicken Pot pie with a glass of white Sangria. I ordered the Baby back ribs with onion rings and a Old Fashioned for my drink. We also ordered calamari appetizers. The drinks were average. Nothing special. My Old Fashioned was not the classic version as it tasted like straight whisky with a blackberry on a stick as the garnish. Old Fashiones usually use a orange garnish and usually have a little bit of a sweet taste when made correctly. So 3 out of 5 for drinks. The appetizers were by far the best thing we had. A nice full plate of calamari with a great sauce that tastes like horseradish mixed with honey. It was just my wife and I but this plate could have fed 4! The only thing that would have made it better is if it was HOT when it came to the table and we had a few sides of that sauce for dipping. I highly recommend! 4.5 out of 5! The main course is where the meal fell short. Chicken pot pie was the special for the weekend and my wife loves chicken pot pie. If you imagine CPP classicly served you think of chicken and vegetables baked in a pie crust. What she got was a bowl of the filling with a flaky grand biscuit on top! And it was small and served lukewarm. Her salad was fine but the waiter should have described it since it was not the classic version of CPP. My Baby back ribs were just okay as well. The meat was tender but not quite fall off the bone and once again the food was just warm, not hot at all. The sauce was good and I believe is made in house. It was tangy and slightly sweet. My onion rings came out about 10 minutes after my ribs. They were hot and very large! They looked almost like doughnuts! I couldn't wait to try them but was once again disappointed. It was just way too much batter. They were extremely salty because of this and I ended up leaving them there. My wife loves salty food and agreed after one bite. So overall the food only gets a 2 out of 5 with me. Great portion size but if it's served cold and doesn't have great taste what's the point. I would be willing to give it another try some day but hesitantly. Our total cost was just under $100 for 2 meals, 2 drinks and a appetizer. We do that on a regular basis at Texas Roadhouse for less than $60. They do have great atmosphere and...

Read moreMy Auntie and I visited on 23 December around 330p. It was nice because it wasn't the dinner rush. Our server was very nice and patient. I was a bit frustrated that the ginger beer was out of stock, but went with red grapefruit juice, which was delicious and made me happy because few restaurants carry it. I ordered the pork chop and subbed garlicky green beans (my literal fave food ever). Auntie ordered the rib plate. Our food came out quickly and hot. I was astonished at how large the portions were and how beautifully they were plated. My pork chops were juicy and tender. That red wine demi glace was so decadent and addictive. The polenta was creamy and perfectly seasoned. I'm used to always having chops paired with cinnamon apples, but this was a nice departure. Red wine poached pears would be amazing with this however. The green beans were perfect. Tender, well seasoned and a perfect side to my dish. My only disappointment was that they don't offer a bread and butter option. Id happily purchase a bread option! It made my meal feel a bit incomplete. My Aunt loved her ribs and said they were tender and the sauce was balanced. Crispy fries and balanced slaw. We got the Brownie sundae...it wasn't good. The Brownie was so thin and barely detectable under the ice cream. Also, the seasonal ice cream flavor was vanilla...we really wanted something more holiday inspired. As soon as 430p hit, the crowds came so we made it out just in time.
The decor was beautiful. I love modern rustic and the holiday decor was elegant and festive. It's a tad dark with lighting but doesn't detract from the ambiance. I look forward to returning and trying the blue crab hush puppies and blue cheese whipped potatoes.
Also the indoor fire place, velvet couches and outdoor fire pit...
