I travel for work. I'm in restaurants daily all over the country. I'm not writing this to complain. I'm writing with hopes the owner/manager will coach their staff. Service is a tough job. People suck. I know!! But bad service is a fast way to lose customers. Food was good. I'll come back if I'm ever in town. Service needs work. That being said: Recently, I was in town for work. My hotel suggested I try this restaurant. Overall it is a small town restaurant. Clean and decent atmosphere. I was seated right away. My server, Camryn, must have been having a bad day. She seemed irritated to be there altogether. I ordered my appetizer (Fried calamari) and meal (seafood platter?) Great amount of food. Came out quick and hot. The food runner (young man with twists in his hair) was pleasant and polite. As I was starting to eat my entree, the bartender was serving the table next to mine. He told them all of the specials they had for the day. SPECIALS?!?!? Who knew? Not me. Camryn never even mentioned them. After dinner, Camryn asked if I was ready for check. Didn't ask if I was interested in dessert or coffee. I told her I was ready for the check. She went somewhere and then next thing I see she's outside on the patio taking another tables order. The bartender asked if I needed anything else and I said I was waiting for the check. He brought it to me immediately. By that time, she was back inside and walked up as he was handing me my check and said Sorry to him. I paid and left. I hope Camryn has better days moving forward. I hope management works to better her.

Oh, this lasagna? It was **so** thin, I thought I had accidentally ordered a lasagna **flavored** napkin. Each layer was practically transparent, like it was ashamed of existing. The noodles barely had enough presence to qualify as food, the sauce was spread so sparsely that I started questioning if it was an artistic choice, and the cheese? Let’s just say I’ve seen **more substantial** Parmesan dust on a pizza box. Honestly, I’ve had pieces of paper with more structure than this lasagna. If I held it up to the light, I probably could have read through it like a page in a book. **A tragedy in three barely-there layers.** Oh, the manager? *The* manager? Let’s just say this person carried themselves with the unshakable confidence of someone who had personally invented food—except they clearly hadn’t mastered the concept of lasagna. I politely mentioned the dish was thinner than my patience, hoping for some kind of solution. Instead, I got an **eye-roll so dramatic** it deserved its own standing ovation. The manager then proceeded to tell me, *“That’s just how our lasagna is,”* with the kind of smugness you’d expect from someone revealing an ancient culinary secret—except the only secret here was how they convinced themselves this was acceptable. There was **no apology, no offer to fix it**, just a masterclass in dismissive arrogance. They spoke with the confidence of a person who believed they were *doing me a favor* by allowing me to experience their sorry excuse for a pasta dish. Honestly, I left that conversation **hungrier for justice than I was for food**.

I was told by a friend that this location had great food. Upon entering the parking lot, I could not find any parking spaces marked Handicap. Then, to enter, I was forced to walk through second hand smoke from the outdoor dining area. The patrons in that area were smoking, while eating,( NASTY). The hostess seated us in a booth. The seat cushions were well used, to the point they resembled sitting on an old bed spring. The food here is good, with large portions and fresh ingredients. Our server Franky was the best part of our visit. He was knowledgeable of the menu, and we found that his personality made our evening great. It is evident that they need a manger with some common sense. The French Dip sandwich was presented with a tiny serving of au jus. Dipping it was like an elephant riding a tricycle, it just didn't work. Thanks to Franky he brought us a bowl to make dipping easier. I will come back, only because the food is terrific, but they need to update the seats, and not allow smoking on the patio area.

Unfortunately, I was unable to give 0 stars as they deserve!!!! Tonight as our group of 20 were eating at Milano’s (Valley), we were racially profiled. After a nice dinner, laughing and talking, and paying for our check, the manager came over to ask us not to come back anymore. At first, she couldn’t give a specific reason for asking us not to come back. After more talking, she started talking about an incident that happened a few weeks ago and ASSUMED that we were that same group of (black) people. IF she felt that we were that same group, why not ask us to leave PRIOR TO collecting hundreds of dollars from our order!!! After realizing her mistake, she tried to backtrack and ask us to come back again. As we went outside, the adults were talking and the kids were making a TikTok, 3 Valley police cars pulled in the parking lot at a high speed with flashing lights. THEY called the police to say “someone” was outside fighting!!!! Fighting????!!!! It was literally a group of 10-18 year olds dancing and having fun!!!! The way the police jumped out of the car could have gone so wrong!!! What if they would have panicked and start to scatter? The police could have assumed they were running from them!!! **Parents….After speaking more to another worker, it’s apparent THEY don’t want our kids coming to their establishment to celebrate birthdays, etc. That $20 they took off the meal wasn’t worth my children being racially profiled and having the police...
